@@vonder7 no mate Hammersmith and Fulham is cheap council tax for some reason I think it’s because a lot of the places don’t have proper bins you have to put your bin bags at a collection point on certain nights of the week. So council tax was £100 a month (band C) and electric gas and water was really cheap aswell £35 Electric 30Gas and 24 water . So it was actually £190 all together so my maths was a bit off 😂. That flat has gone now anyway

It’s not free healthcare, you pay in very high taxes, I could afford a private healthcare in private clinics for the amount of tax I pay yet I get a non functioning joke. Not having a car is not a perk 😂 it’s sad that in 21 century people cannot afford it. Everywhere in Europe you get more paid holidays than in the uk. But salaries are two times lower than in the USA so it’s not „free”

Lol Texas , Arizona and NM rent is always cheaper then any other place or states . I used to live in El Paso my 1 br was $650 in Las cruces NM 2 br $750 utilities is only $100 but I live in Seattle 1br is $1659 and 2br $2221 utilities $500 and that not including bills (500), childcare ($1600), or groceries. Food a month for 4 people is another $1200 . Mind you , I didn’t put toys, clothes, accessory, personal stuff like hygiene etc . I haven’t been to the mall in 4 years my kids been hand down clothes and free donations churches . add all that together. Each month I need almost $6k to stay alive with a roof over our head . Wish I move back to Texas or NM but unfortunately not a lot of job opportunities and you do need a car to drive in Texas . Everything is so far away and bus doesn’t run long hrs in El Paso Texas and they only have couple bus and there’s like only 2 bus in Las cruces

Prices vary. You can get a cheap gym for under £20 and tube costs vary depending on how far you travel. Often hear of people spending several hundred a month just on tube. 😎

Oh god, and for a single, without children or partner? I live in Hamburg, Germany also a big and quite expensive city but compared to London, Hamburg is as expensive as Chemnitz. I pay 750 rent. 100-150 Water, electric,gas. 350 food and Internet. 50 bus ticket.= Around 1300€ I earn 2100€net as a trained gardener ( plus Christmas bonus, holiday bonus,often rest of vacation end the year [phone]€ a year)

I am shocked to realized most people think that London is the most expensive city to live in. I've lived in Boca Raton, Florida, for 20 yrs...in the last 2 yrs living expenses have quadruple...everything is 4 times more expensive. Luckily I decided to purchased a condo before the pandemic started....my condo's value has gone to the roof...I wouldn't be able to afford it if I had to purchase it right now. Food prices are outrageou, gas is a shocker every time I have to fill up my tank...electricity, water, insurance....I don't want to talk about insurance...it's insane! My condo's maintenance fees are unbelievable now....I am single with no kids...I can't imagine how families are dealing with these prices...I hope things get better otherwise I am thinking about getting a roommate...
