waitrose is one of the most expensive grocery stores in the uk i would reccommend lidl or sainsburys with nectar points/deals is much more affordable

Yes you are right. Waitrose is expensive... but sometimes I find it to be similar to tesco. Bt cheapest option which I always used to prefer was Aaldi... nothing can beat their prices...

Hey! Glad you found it helpful. Well, no you do not have to pay water and gas bills if living in box room. Everything is included in rent. So it's just one fix amount you pay and that's it for a month. Hope that helps :)

Hey! Firstly, thank you so much for your time and efforts for such a lucrative video. Secondly, I want to pursue my masters in UK, I have not made up my mind about a particular university yet, but I just want to know considering the status of the current UK economy, is it really worth to spend such a hefty amount and come there. Also, if you could possibly tell certain criteria which is common across all the universities for scholarships for an Indian overseas student, it would be very helpful.

Hey! If you are planning to settle then it's little difficult due to new uk government rules and they are very strict not allowing international fresher students to get job easily... Bt if you plan to come here only for studies and don't mind to go back to country and work if you don't get it in UK then yes, it's the best to get education... Through my experience, I would say UK has THE best education system...

Yess... incase you are getting accomodation in university... I think you have to. But if you are getting with live-in landlord then no... you just need to pay the one rent as a security deposit and the other one in advance... The security one gets adjusted in the last month as whole. Hope that helps :)

Sis i have a question..if someone a professional e.g a fresher CA is earning 52000 a year does it mean that his net pay would be approximately 35628 after applying 40% on his taxable income? ... Does it really work like that isn't it too much tax? Just wondering if people are living like this or they are paying less taxes e.g if companies compensate them..

Hello! Tax is mostly charged according to the salary band in the UK. For example, if you earn around below 40K per year, then it's 20% of your total salary, If it's between 40K - 60K, it's 30% and so on... Have a look at the UK government website for updated tax rate on salary. Hope that helps 🙌🏻🌟

Hey! it totally depends on where you live in London and how is your lifestyle.... Students can earn upto 700- 1000 pounds per month with 20 hours/week part time jobs. So yeah you can calculate the rent and cost of living accordingly. Hope that helps!

Checkout spareroom.co.uk for the cheap rooms and yes I use to live in greeford for 4 months and from there 1 hour ride in metro to Central london... which I feel is okay if you have not regular travelling involved.

Well, I haven't checked the current ranking. Hence, I would suggest you check the rankings if you are confused about which to choose? Well, in the UK, it rarely matters from which uni you does the course, as the hiring managers won't give much credit to university fame and name... instead, the transferable skills you possess that can prove to be an asset to the company. Sheffield would be better in ranking and cheaper for cost of living, but when it comes to part time jobs, Greenwich would be better as that is in London. Sheffield will still have part time jobs but they are limited in numbers compared to London.

Cheapest rooms for 4-5 weeks near imperial college london which area would I prefer?

If you have to travel everyday.... get it anything near to clg. If not, go with Zone 3 or 4 and they have cheaper options as compared to central london.

No... as a student, you don't need to pay Council Tax. Once the visa is changed to PSW or other, you have to...

You might have to talk with the landlord for the same. I have seen people doing that but may be they would charge little high price... as the shared person will use water and electricity as well. Thanks

London has strong transport system, hence no matter where you live you would get buses and undergrounds or trams. In terms of cheapest, as you go far from central London, rates of accomodation decreases. And if you like in outskirts, try to find the accommodation in Zone 4/5 where rent would be cheap and it's easy to travel to central London from there. Hope that helps :)

@ruchirai372 yes right... bt if you had to travel everyday to central london then, living in Central london is also expensive... You can instead get a bus pass for a month n live in zone 2/3 so that it's cheaper..

Hi! I would say instead of me suggesting you uni, you find it yourself by filtering out things such as the course, your budget, the place, etc.. Mostly, all universities in the UK are public uni, so the chances are that courses would be mostly similar, and the only thing that matters is it should fit in your budget and the background of faculty who is going to teach you.

Hello! There are many websites like "Right to Move" etc.. where you can have a look for places in Notting Hill. It's the most expensive and rich area. So mostly you won't see the cheap accommodation by immigrants over there.

All parts of London are unsafe at night. So, no matter which zone you stays in. In case of overall scenario. I would say, West and North zone 5 is safer than South and East. Hope that helps!
