If you guys feel like Edward and ezio are fully fleshed out then you’re gonna love the original poster boy of assassins creed, Altair. His life through the secret crusades is way more interesting than ezios and sometimes I wished He could’ve had his own trilogy since his detailing life is from start to finish I honestly tire of ezio sometimes cause he’s just your everyday generic pretty boi and not to mention at least he got to grow up with his family, Altair lost his as soon as he stepped into the world so it was only right he’d been born into the brotherhood he had no one and that already made me route for him more the ezio. Ezio for me at least isn’t the poster boy it would always be Altair just for what he goes through we would actually see how assassins creed really was back in the 1100’s with how the brotherhood truly was with dedication and true goals whilst dealing with the burdens of wanting to live a life of a normal man. To me Altairs struggle with the duality of being a assassin and wanting to live a normal life was so interesting and altairs mind was also far more outside the box then ezio this man created things for EZIO with the apple so he could be great not even knowing it was for him. Let’s not forget who made ezio a legend the legend himself ALTAIR, Ubisoft needs to stop playing and give my dawg his own trilogy cause even now ALTAIR IBN’ LA AHAD NEEDS HIS SPOTLIGHT cause honestly there wouldn’t be an ezio without Altair and no Desmond without both of them. Thanks for joining me on my Ted talk 😊

Ezio is a boy who is forced to become a man. He learns how to live as a responsible and fun-loving person who dedicates his life fighting for what is right. He learns to appreciate the gifts that he took for granted (time, liberty and love). And finally, he passes on his knowledge before he gets the rest he rightfully earned.

Ezio to me is like a legendary work of art. A piece so refined and extraordinarily rare, that the creator must've spent years, decades or even entire lifetimes to finish and complete. Ezio is art worthy of immortality, and which no fool can easily replicate.

Altair had a potential to be a awesome protagonist because imagine he was an assassin during the crusades there's a lot of thing left out from his journey which is not shown in the game but in novels and side games(like revelations, bloodlines) this adds more depth the character and make his tragedy on par with Ezio. This is why Altair is such a wasted character as his character was not shown that much greatly in the game. Man fans of the this franchise won't realise untill a full fledged remake is made. Well I still have respect for Ezio as he had full character development in a big scale like three games unlike who got the novels and side games to make on par with Ezio.

Part of the reason early ACs were so influential was that you were experiencing the life philosophy and assassin philosophy merge with each character to a more in-depth/realistic degree. AC was an extremely narrative-driven game. The last game to do that merging well in my opinion was black flag, but I think it was starting with black flag that AC began to shift away from narrative-driven to gameplay-driven. Unity did it well too but there were many parts of the game where Arno felt extremely disconnected from the brotherhood; regardless Unity is still my favorite newer age AC title but many of the newer titles don't have the same quality of narrative execution. Ezio's game's were all deeply narrative-driven whilst reaching the heights of AC's old gameplay engine before it was redesigned.
