While I agree that the topics you are covering are true and important. The assertion that brands not wanting to associate with you is evidence that you are telling the truth about them is false. I could make up crazy lies about a brand and they would also probably want nothing to do with me. Patreon is a good way to diversify your income so good on you but try to stick to talking points that stand up to scrutiny. Your reputation for honesty is a strong point to make with brands that you do end up working with; as you endorsement does carry more weight (at least for me) than that of a typical KZbin channel.

I've literally furnished my entire house through Marketplace, with the exception of a couch, a mattress, and a few area rugs. In a big city, even IKEA furniture is great to buy second-hand because its super easy to find someone selling the exact product you're looking for a fraction of the price. Over the years, I've even sold several items I bought from Marketplace (usually for the same price or higher) when my furniture needs changed. I absolutely love some of the unique vintage pieces I've managed to score over the years. It takes some patience to wade through the scammers and weirdos but 99% of my interactions with people have been just fine.

I used to like FB marketplace, mainly because I could buy and sell items in person within a close distance of where I lived. But then Facebook changed it so that local options are suppressed in favor of shipped items. Now most of the items on the feed are dropshipping products or bootleg stickers.
@vladrazym9955 Жыл бұрын
That's actually insane how little options does US and Canada have to sell used things peer to peer. There are ebay, craigslist and fb marketplace, OfferUp + Kijiji and that's it. It worth mentioning that most of them are complete trash with ui/ux from early 2000th and lack of normal search, sorting, filters and etc. In Europe there are much better options like OLX and others Tbh, I find Amazon's user experience outdated and not predictable as well. Everything is built on search which have some complicated algorithms preventing you from seeing what you want, but rather what they want you to see.

FB really wanted me to look at Marketplace. I opened the front page and-right at the top of the push list-saw identical postings for the same phone/accessories from posters in different locations. I immediately understood that Craigslist was over. If future proof is looking for more positive topics, y'all should look into buy nothing groups. People in NYC at least use buy nothing heavily and it is a pure gifted economy/ dumpster diving/curb stooping. The rule is things must be free. Buy nothing groups have their flaws, but overall if the neighborhood is active and there is a strong community presence, you can get a lot of cool things for free like furniture, random food ingredients, party supplies, clothing, etc.

Levi I don't know if you ever did this but as a kid growing up in the 90's. I loved dumpster diving and going to the dump. I can't remember how much treasures I've managed to save and reuse. It actually makes me mad now that they don't let you go through the landfill. Every time I go I see so much stuff like bikes that just need some work and they'd be back to like new. I understand the safety factor of letting people go climbing over mountains of garbage and metal but to me that's unacceptable when there's perfectly fine thing's that might need a little work but still serve their purpose.

Whenever a colorist or artist is showing their plastic markers I cringe because I think of all of that plastic but yet I have always been intrigued by them. I figured out a way to buy them guilt free - buy used markers. I took a risk and bought a set of used Faber-Castell pitt artist pens from a private seller on Facebook Marketplace and so far they have been great. I don’t think your videos are pessimistic; definitely negative but not pessimistic. I can handle negative people but I can’t stand listening to pessimistic people because pessimistic people go out of their way to try to convince others that nothing will ever get better. Negative people such as myself complain a lot because we know that things could be better, deep down we are optimists. I really enjoy your videos and I hear a lot of hope and positivity in them. As always thanks for a great video.

1:36 well, if you'd be spreading false information about all kinds of brands then most companies would also not want to sponsor you. I don't know exactly which logical fallacy applies to the argument you made, but I know for sure that it's not logically sound. From what I can tell it definitely doesn't seem like you're spreading false information, so the fact that less companies want to sponsor you is indeed a good sign. The logic in the argument was the wrong way around. It doesn't show that what you're saying is true, but when the things you're saying is true then it shows that those companies are afraid of valid critique. That is definitely a good sign 😊 Ps, after I learned about logical fallacies I've been seeing them all over the place. Avoiding them helps us all make better arguments. So while the argument I mentioned is very insignificant, I still think it's a good opportunity to learn ❤ Ps2, When I get an income I'll become a patron again!
