The only thing i wish they would have kept from the original etron is physical buttons on the steering wheel. The touch pad buttons feels a bit cheep. And you are no longer able to get the "night vision" camera. Besides that the only problem is that the car is bit too expensive.

Not sure about the Q6, but the official literature of the Q4 and Q8 both say Audi targets a constant 30deg C battery temperature target for optimal performance in driving and fast charging. So even in my Q4 i notice short trips in under 20deg C ambient temperature the power efficiency is low as it seems like the car actively preconditions the battery pack always even during 10min drives. When ambient temps hot 20deg or above, the efficiency skyrockets. My friend who has a Toyota bZ4x AWD gets significantly better power efficiency during short drives than I do in my Q4 e-tron quattro, but of course it DC fast charging is significantly slower.

Compared to my current Q8 etron the suspension is by far not as refined, the rear end is not settled enough on bad roads and the wind / tire noise are way too much for this vehicle class. In stillstand the interior quality is superb, but going over bumps created in my test car rattling noises. I thought the Eletre would by my next car, but I turned away from it.

Nice car but efficiency is still not good enough for me. Rather than thinking about best case, I like to consider the worst case (winter) and the goal of only charging to 80% if I own the car and want to preserve the battery. My i4 e40 unusually gets 4.2 mi/kWh (148 Wh/km) in mostly highway summer driving, but that falls to about 3.5 mi/kWh (177 Wh/km) in winter. Lower if the temperature is below 10 F (-12 C). At 18:09 (you drove approx 60 km downhill). The avg consumption decreased to 17.4, you have 32% battery left (you used only 3% of the baterry) but the car is showing a range of 166 km.

Some people in the comments do not know the difference between power consumption and efficiency. The Q6 is obviously the most efficient BEV, as it has very low power consumption even with a high roof line and weight and the Cw value at 0.28. It is more efficient than a Tesla Model Y, that has lower power consumption but also way lower drive resistances.
@Maarten_vd
@Maarten_vd 6 ай бұрын
@Fry3199 haha.... "the car is most efficiënt because the car has a ludicrous CW value.... " I think what you mean is; the drivetrain looks efficiënt because the car is build like a blunt pyramid. The car is still not efficiënt. Does not matter that the reason is, it's not efficiënt. That's why it needs such a big battery to achieve an acceptable range. Making it 300kg overweight, hurting it's efficiency even more
@Fry3199
@Fry3199 6 ай бұрын
@@Maarten_vd efficiency is output / input power. Power consumption is the input power * distance. Of course you get a smaller, lighter car with less power consumption, but that has nothing to do with efficiency. The Model Y has 300kg less weight, better cw and therefore lower power consumption, but not higher efficiency. Just drive the Q6 and you will find out how the additional 300kg bring a complete different car feeling.

I get your point. But for me it’s real world … how many miles per KWh but I would also judge does the car do the job I want it to do separately. Once I have done that I know which car is best for us …. Then my wife explains which one we are actually getting 😂
@Maarten_vd
@Maarten_vd 6 ай бұрын
@andrewlarner6190 ok, let's turn it around. Bjorn tested the Model Y RWD and found its range to be 450 km, which is lower than the Q6's 572 km. However, the Model Y has a 57 kWh battery. If it had the same 94 kWh battery as the Q6, its range would be close to 740 km. This shows a significant difference: 740 km vs. 570 km. The Model Y is 30% more efficient. That's a substantial difference for a car that is only marginally larger. The main factor impacting the Q6's range is its drag coefficient (CW value). The design prioritizes form over function, appealing to buyers who prefer the traditional ICE look and might not prioritize reducing their carbon footprint over the next decade. No judgment here-Audi needs to sell cars, and their customers place a high value on aesthetics.
@Fry3199
@Fry3199 6 ай бұрын
@@Maarten_vd as i said. Some people do not know the difference between efficiency and power consumption. I tried to explain 2 times. The Model Y has higher range per kWh, but not because of higher efficiency. Its because of lower resistance.
