@samohraje24332 жыл бұрын
Yes, 106.6 matematically but in practise, it is like around 85-95 depends how you drive ofc. I have Octavia 1.9TDI 66kW ver. If u know what 66kW has, rotation fuel pump or what it is called, driven a lot, mine has 360k and this rotation pump never had a single problem. There is also other type of fuel transport and that is called PD or Pumpe Diesel or Pumpe nozzle i dont know exactly but this type gives you better performance, torque and feeling from the ride but it gives you higher consumption which is like 4-5L/100km but it can be driven to suck even less fuel also. In Slovakia we have most of the roads " hilly " with goood slopes and my best average consuption was 3.5L/100km which is really, really good. I drove 1377km with one fuel tank fully filled to the brim but it was mostly on highways and countryside roads outside the city.

@RWoody19955 жыл бұрын
@@DiscoFang i didn't say anything about different sized sediments, i said big clumps (a clump meaning multiple little pieces), it's pretty basic really, example: make a cup of coffee notice all the bits of coffee powder floating around in it that didn't dissolve into the water? of course you don't, for every 100ml of coffee you consume you only consume a small amount of undissolved coffee powder because most of it sinks to the bottom and whats left floating in the top 90% of the cup is say, 5% of the total amount. drink 90% of the coffee and then when drinking the rest you start to notice it as the remaining 95% of the powder comes into you all at once. The same thing happens in a fuel tank. The filter can easily manage that small 5% being fed into it over the course of its service life, but give it everything in the tank at once and it's not gonna be happy in the long run. Of course in modern cars fuel tanks are cleaner as they are plastic, but it is a different story for older cars with metal tanks which rust slightly over time as trace amounts of water get into the tank over the years.

Are you going to do a car series again, I subscribed because of 'Living with a Rotary' and I would like to see another series like it.

You're doing it wrong you should mix it 50/50 with water to extend distance!!!

Given that the fuel tank on this is wide and fairly lumpy, I question whether this actually used a litre of fuel to do the mileage shown. The car moving about would undoubtedly slosh some fuel from other areas of the tank into the pick-up, allowing you to go further. What would be far more interesting would be to have a tall thin clear fuel tank in the car that has a litre variance shown on it. Not only do you not have to run out, but you can be absolutely sure how much fuel you've used.

Assuming I'm not way too tired for this, that's a fuel consumption of below 3 l/100km. With this consumption you should go around 1300 miles on a tank which... Isn't really possible.

Exactly. This challenge was anything but accurate. Lol. Yes the car is still efficient but more like 14 miles per liter best case. There was definitely fuel left in the tank and the lines.

Skoda people are all the time Czech car not everything in it from Germany gearboxes are assembled and produced in the Czech Republic glass, upholstery, lights and so on all this is assembled and produced in the Czech Republic so the engines are German and Czech does not mean that when Skoda is part of the VW concern that it is a German car. Seats are also made and sew with us Czech is enough developing country if we wanted to be a pity to stop being a VW concern. Every Škoda model is designed in the Czech Republic and is also produced in the Czech Republic VW just provides us with engines and a few other things.Skoda already has several factories around the world in Germany, India, Slovakia in short and simply Skoda is still Czech car.😉

I've always believed that running a diesel car to empty was a serious issue for the car. Is this a myth? Edit: oh OK, you just had to prime the engine.

1:55 Is there not “one rule” of Diesel engines that you do not run them to empty?! 3:00 Yup that’s exactly why. Replace the fuel filter after this test bc you’re running it to empty twice.
