How far can you take Dog's Ball in Half-Life 2?

I show you how far I've gotten Dog's Ball through Half-Life 2's campaign.
I love the lil fella, much better than that stinky gnome.
Ball (compared to gnome)
= Pros =
-Follows you
-Attaches to Car
-Distracts enemies
-Deadly dodgeball
-kills headcrabs on own
-Is an animated NPC with personality
-Bullet shield (especially with snipers)
-Shoot hoops with them
= Cons =
-Follows closest "enemy"
-Attacked by friendly NPCs
-Dies from water, fire, and explosives
-Collides with NPCclip brush (biggest one)

This is false, you can take him much further, as you aim at him and do npc_select and then you aim somewhere else and do npc_teleport (i think you can do it without cheats enabled) you can bring him to end of the half life, he will begin glitch out at last chapters of citadel but yeah, i got him to the end

But you can't bring the ball through the teleporter, and to bring him in (create him) use ent_create npc_rollermine spawnflags "65536" .

But if I understand, you bring it to the end but with cheats, so it doesn't count and this is video is not false. I don't understand how you can do this without cheat if you talk about npc_select/ npc_teleport ?

Ball is the best companion. I took him all the way through ravenholm and got really sad because i thought the water would kill him. It did seem fitting though that he was left in a cave filled with the only kind of enemy he could kill.

I love this challenge bro. I did it accidentally ony my first playthrough, because the ball followed me to the gate thing. I personally only got to that zipline thingy at the end of ravenholm because the ball would just fly out whenever I tried to bring it with me

Yeah that invisible npc clip brush that prevents fast zombies from crossing the fence also blocks the ball. was surprised how many times i was able to bypass these barriers.

I had this ball as my companion for the entire ravenholm, but in that part of the mines where theres water everywhere, i sadly had to leave him there, killing headcrabs.

Yep, did that. Also had a car and a boat way over where it was not supposed to be. But do not remember where. You can get yourself a car before lighthouse fight by throwing a grenade behind the car right before the sliding garage door will close. It will bounce into a closing door and the door will slide back. Then jump your car over a cliff on the way to ant lions and Laslo.

During high way 17 on my first playthrough when I found the rollers I was like "Wait dog is nearby!?" and started to look around then got shocked by the ball and got even more confused!

I did this once. The furthest I was ever to take Dogs ball was to the very end to Ravenholm. I got on the lift that goes to the graveyard and an invisible wall clipped onto the ball,preventing me from taking it any further. It now sits in the ruins of Ravenholm, forevr trapped amongst the headcrabs and zombies X"D

It strikes me that the beeps in Dog's Ball genuinely seem to be aware of what is happening and the fact that it can cling to the car, facilitating its transportation without needing to abuse some type of glitch makes it seem like something intentional in the game. Not to mention that it helps a lot in the fight against zombies and headcrabs.

As far as you get on the cart in ravenholm the roller mine invisible barrier keeps it from going with you (playing it on mobile yes its possible)

I tried doing this but I kept getting annoyed with the rollermine suddenly ceasing to exist without explanation at random times throughout Ravenholm. _Ravenholm._ I couldn't even get halfway through one chapter without the rollermine disappearing without a trace suddenly.
