How far into Master Rank can I go with HR gear? | The Extinction Challenge | Ep. 4

We've made it to Master Rank, but I haven't been able to upgrade my armor to deal with the tougher monsters. The Extinction Challenge is taking it's toll on my defenses and I don't have enough monsters to build many sets of armor to progress easily. How far can I make it before I have to upgrade? And what monsters will perish to make me stronger.

I have learned that if I was going to follow along with an extinction challenge of my own, that it is imperative that I carefully select anyone else that I invite to join me. :D I would probably fully tilt if all of my teammates were actively farming every monster I needed before I unlocked them. Tails proves once again how nice of a guy he is.

There are some Mushroomancer armor set you get from follower quests, the Bard/Scholar and the Commission set and ofcourse through the usual way the Chaos set, you might be able to mix and match.

@@GiddyFoxGaming Correction! the Bard/Scholar set you get for doing a side quest Bag a Barioth, were you just have to capture a Baroith. And the Commission set is from a Capture a Bazel side quest.

I just found out that,(In rise at least)that it’s rumoured that the guild kills captured monsters,meaning that capturing during the extinction challenge does nothing Also I have a confession on next stream tails

I wonder... is there a rule(s) that makes the use of monster riding or that one palico type to farm monster parts unfeasible in the extinction run? I know you can't use this on monsters that are already extinct but maybe you could use these methods to farm parts from monsters that you want to avoid slaying/capture to better avoid a soft lock or avoid someone's future attempts at keeping you out of certain gear pieces down the line. I know your cool with what has transpired but damn I would be livid if my friends basically forced me to be gimped this hard. Watching you get 2 shot to 3 shot was... well my empathy levels were through the roof lol

We are unable to collect parts from Extinct monsters in any way. So much so that if we accidentally pick some up, we have to sell them ☺️ Haha yes the armor is not holding up well, but we'll see how it goes!

Wait, if you capture a monster into extinction, are they really extinct, or just moved to some nature reserve or zoo?

By lore, the monsters that are captured are put into an arena to fight to the death ;) So yes, they dead haha
