I've seen Joc walking to Petco Park. Entering through the Padres players parking lot. I saw 2 kids in Braves gear run and ask for an auto an Joc just kept walking and went into the garage. It was pretty cold 🥶 I was in shock. Specially since the kids were obvious Braves fans.

When I was a kid I use to go to a Ton of stadiums with my dad and try and get autographs & sometimes even stay after in the parking lot to try and get some. Some were tough, some were cool. I’ve gotten some notables, like Yelich, Kluber, Cespedes, just to make a few.

Rodon is such a good guy. I’ve had VERY quick interactions with him over the past couple of years here in AZ during ST. I was super pumped when he was able to play almost an entire season(again cut short due to injuries). Was hoping like hell that he would have stayed in Chicago, but at the end of the day it is a business but he signed with a legit organization in SF and for the most part is having a good season!!! As a White Sox lifer, thank you for leaving everything you had on the field. Continued success on and off of the field with your kick ass family!!!! Sincerely, a supporter.

In 1971 as a 14 year old I was at the Atlanta Marriot where the visiting teams stayed. Myself and about a dozen other kids camped out in the lobby in the hopes of being autographs. It worked; got Willie Stargell to sign the cover of my SI with a pic of him on the cover along with Danny Murtaugh, Steve Blass, Bob Robertson and Mazeroski. I then had the great idea to get on the hotel lobby phone and find out the room numbers of certain players. Back then it was easy. I called Clemente’s room and actually got him. I asked if we could’ve up for an autograph, but he was not in the mood, just started yelling in Spanish, so I hung up. I did find Manny Sanguillen's room and got his signing. He was actually really nice, just curious how we found his room. I also did this when the Reds were in town and got Pete Rose to come out in the hallway in his boxers and t shirt, but he signed everyone's items. I know now he'd charge for his signature, but back then he was actually nice about it.

Several years back, I asked a player to get another player to sign team item.(he was the last guy needed to complete it) the player took it to the other guy and had him sign it and brought it back. Congrats on getting Joc!!
