PilotFun101, it would be interesting next time you do a video like this to put some text on the video showing speed on short final and over the numbers to give us an idea what speeds you are. Sorry, I don't know the technical term for superimposing text onto the video. Enjoy the videos!

New subscriber and new to aviation, have a question for you and maybe a stupid question so please forgive my ignorance. Your thoughts on Fadec engines, please? Are they available for Mooneys and if so how expensive are they in general? Thank you.

Thanks! Never a stupid question. They are not approved for Mooney’s that I know of. Prices depending on what you want are 20-40k

@@PilotFun101 Thank you. Do you know if they will be approved for Mooney's, or do you have to do it on an individual case-by-case basis for approval? Just wanted to replace whatever engine the Mooney comes with with a fadec engine that produces the same amount of torque and hp and whatever other parameters are considered. Again, I'm not very knowledgeable about the engines. My thought process is to replace the engine with a fadec engine so I don't need to mess with mixture and propeller and just focus on flying. From what I hear and I may be wrong, I hear the fadec engines are way more fuel-efficient and use a cheaper fuel too which is more readily available around the world. Also have read that the non fadec engines are very old technology and that these are the newest cutting edge engine technology in aviation. So was wondering if you had any experience or come across anyone that has seen or used them and what the reputation of these engines is and is it worth making a change too if approved and allowed? Thank you again for your time and knowledge, really like your videos and one of the main reasons I want to by a Mooney.

@@899TK Thank you again. I don’t think they will approve that engine in a certified airplane like the Mooney. I agree. New engines are more efficient then ever.

Ken Ellis Great question. It’s if needed on the check list not required. I use it mostly in the colder weather on landing and of course any carb ice in the air
