How Fast Can Alakazam Beat Pokemon Blue With Better Play??

Playthrough Rules:
1. Only my selected pokemon in battle
2. No items in battle
3. No glitches or exploits (the badge boost and marowak skip permitted)
4. No Losing of ANY Kind (No Blackout Training)
5. No Double-Team TM before level 100*
Other Things to Know:
1. Pokeballs (HM Pokemon) are allowed in battle
2. I play the game at 4x game speed (238 frames per second)
3. My Pokemon have perfect DVs
4. Skipping the bike is not allowed
5. Saving between Elite 4 members is allowed
6. If the solo Pokemon faints and I choose to blackout it counts towards my reset counter and I still have to reset
Terms:
1. STAB
--- Same Type Attack Bonus - a 1.5x damage multiplier for using a move that shares it's type with the attacker
2. DVs
--- The Gen1 equivalent of IVs (individual values), these range from 0-15
3. Stat XP
--- The Gen1 equivalent of EVs. But unlike EVs, you can reach the limit with every stat

Shouldn't you have used Seismic Toss instead of Dig? It requires one extra trainer battle before Bill's house but it's well worth it. Being a single-turn fixed damage move it has multiple benefits over Dig: - Its damage isn't reduced by an opposing Alakazam's Reflect. - It doesn't allow an opposing Alakazam to use Recover while you're underground. - It's always going to outdamage Dig since you can use it twice in the time that it takes to execute one Dig. - It deals consistent damage against Exeggutor who resists both Psychic and Dig. Really the only three moves you need on Alakazam are Psychic, Seismic Toss and Recover. Seismic Toss especially would have made your battles against opposing Alakazam, Exeggcute/Exeggutor and Jynx much smoother. There's no real reason to use any physical moves on Alakazam. You've mentioned that you're not familiar with all the game mechanics yet so I thought I should probably mention this if you weren't aware of the usefulness of Seismic Toss. Not only is it useful on Psychic-types for hitting opposing Psychic-types, but being a fixed damage move it actually ignores type immunities in Gen I and is capable of hitting Ghost-types. This makes it by far the best move against Gastly/Haunter/Gengar if you ever do a run with Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan or Pinsir. Do NOT make the mistake of using the elemental punches against Haunter/Gengar with Hitmonchan, Seismic Toss is better. For Hitmonlee and Pinsir, Seismic Toss is actually their only move that is capable of damaging ghosts if you don't want to use Bide (and trust me, you don't).

I appreciate the insight, and I didn't really consider it when I played the run. VanMan is even better than I am at speedruns and his next video is alakazam vs gyarados. I'm curious to see if he came to the same conclusion. I mainly used dig because it had 100 power, but I didn't really consider seismic toss because I had watched a few peoples videos before this, and nobody had tried it out either, so I didn't really have it on my radar.
