i was curious about the numbers hes used for suspension since im trying to do the same thing to replicate my '99. digging around ive noticed the power numbers are all wrong. the power.lut numbers are too low (unless youre car has lowered compression, which i kinda doubt). should top around 140nm, not 112. i fear he was entering ft lb instead of nm. and the turbo is set to 25psi.

Precisely! Most people are right-handed. Therefore, you need your shifter, touch screen, etc. ON THE RIGHT = you must sit on the left (or in the middle, which, however, compromises overtaking safety in cars without special cameras)… When you also consider that British people use RIDICULOUS ways to measure weight, distance, volume, etc., you get a pretty good picture of the MESS they have in their heads… :-)))))))))))) But Andy Riches is great, I have to say. Anyway, the silliest thing I have ever seen is the CANADIAN way of measuring speeds. They use kilometres per hour for roads and miles per hour for railways… :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) You don't get any more ridiculous than that, I am afraid...

THIS is a very entertaining Nordschleiffe lap! If I could drive ANY car on this track, a turbo Miata wouldn't be too far from the top of the list. A manual Ferrari F430, Viper ACR, track tuned and modded RX-7, new Mustang GT350R, Posche 911R and a few others would be higher on the list, but considering the company it keeps, it definitely says something about how fun and driver focused MX-5s are. I have only every driven 2, one restored NA and one brand new 2017 from a dealership (both stock or close to stock), but I definitely do see the appeal. I think a Supercharged Miata pushing 275+ WHP from ANY generation would be more fun than most cars 5-10x the price

I think I'm pretty decent. Have a LOT of backroad experience hooning cars around, I have taught all my friends how to drive manual (meaning I am very confident in heel toe etc), I have entered a few winter drift competitions in my modded WRX, and have about 12 hours in track time, in 5 different cars (first time was last fall in a Ferrari 430 and Galladro, which is on my channel). I'm definitely not a pro, and have NEVER been on a track like Nordschlieffe, but due to sims, I know every corner and think I could do pretty well honestly.

Confrade Back in 2016 I did an 8:37 lap on the Touristenfahrten (so bridge-to-gantry) in my MX-5 NA with near-stock power figures and mild traffic, so it is most definitely doable. I am currently in the process of turbocharging it and I will probably return to the Nordschleife with it in 2019. We shall see about the results, but that time should be easy to shatter with my goal of 250 wheel horsepower.

200kmh feels fast, because it is. i mean sim racing doesnt really compare to the sensations you get while in a real car (unfortunately). an mx5 with 250 hp is more than enough for an amateur/enthusiast driver, especially on the nordschleife. if you are a really good driver, you can beat average drivers in a porsche no problems even if you only got 1/3 of their horsepower :)
@kamerincovey97064 жыл бұрын

Quick slow cars are so much more fun than fast cars for every day use. That's a strange thing to grasp for most but when you're bombing it down a narrow British country lane in the middle of July it all starts to make sense. You can feel like you're on a race track without even going above 50mph as you frantically shift between 2nd, 3rd and 4th and oh my God a long straight! "Here we go! 6.5k on the revs! FIFTH! WE GOT FIFTH GEAR! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!" Back down to second. Where's the fun in getting to 70mph in second?
