I wonder if you could have punched Joker sooner in Arkham Knight, since he sometimes spawns in place of a random rioter throughout the city. He would still be a hallucination obviously, and I have no idea if you have to pass a certain threshold in the story to even get the slim chance of Joker showing up like that. I know it's kinda rare though, so you might have spent just as much time waiting for him to appear than if you played the game normally but still it's a thought

To my knowledge, that doesn’t occur until later in the game. Likely around when you recruit Ivy. Not that it would be a very optimal strategy since it’s completely random with no way to trigger it consistently.

I had an idea for a video: Can you beat Arkham Knight/City/Origins (whichever you want) using only Arkham Asylum mechanics and tools? Here’s a small list of things you can’t do: Dive bombing Grappling while gliding Canceling a grapple Using special combo moves like bat swarm or multi-ground takedown Fear Multi-Takedowns Use gadgets outside of Asylum (Disruptor, Freeze Blast, etc.) Perform a knockout smash Perform an inverted takedown without hanging first Basically, if you can’t do it in Asylum, you can’t do it at all.

Also beatdowns It would make City impossible because you need the REC to beat Ra’s. I didn’t even think about this but it’d also be impossible because you need the REC to leave the Steel Mill and the Freeze Blast to beat Clayface, the beat down to beat freeze, the Disruptor to beat Penguin. There are a lot of aspects about this challenge that wouldn’t work.
