It's a shame in motorcycle world the capacity of your bike is so important. Doesn't exist so much with cars. Just returned to 250cc after many years of larger bikes. Great fun and great economy. Highly recommended.
@Mybwain3 жыл бұрын
I've got a 250 and if you are not in a massive hurry you can go anywhere on it. Just cruising along at just under 60mph up to 65 all day long, sips fuel and never misses a beat. I had a large bike but I started my two wheel journey on small capacity two strokes and scooters and like to be on light machines that I can chuck about and move easily (my big bike weighed 200kg) I can't win any races for sure but in town traffic I pass any sports car.

True 3:40, In India we have got the SX250 which is downgraded single cylinder version. It's economical to use SX 250 here but i would love so see the twin cylinder 250 cc version marking its way to India.

I had a look at a Vstrom 250 yesterday - and the Vstrom 650. I could handle the 650, but the 250 is cheaper new - and I'm not sure I need the bigger bike - but the bigger bike does appeal. I'm still driving my mum's old car - and can't really have two vehicles, so probably need to wait for the car to wear out, before getting a bike. But when you actually go to a showroom and see these bikes up close, some/most look huge - and I've had a Suzuki SV650 before. I could just touch the ground with the Vstrom 650, and I'm 5-10 tall.

Why not buy a second hand bike and sell the old car? If you don’t need the car for transporting things then a bike will be cheaper in fuel, maintenance and taxes.

Hi Nora, great review. May I ask how tall are you? The reason behind my question is this bike would fit a 6.0" tall rider. Thank you so much! G
@idrayas26 жыл бұрын
250 works here, but not this particular engine-frame platform. We dont need big bikes to travel far. Most do with their 125s and 150s to tackle up to 500km trip inter cities or regencies... the problem is, its too heavy for its engine. It would do good to chop 10 to 15 kgs from the bike. I travel 120km a day in a 110cc bike and can only top at 90kph because of traffic, even that is against the law actually. Max 80kph in public roads.
