Great content 👍. Had the o34 insert, with good summer tires spin city. Just put on the racing line full dogbone mount. Wow what a difference. Now I can't the the tires to break traction. Nvh is a little loud in reverse but that's it. Highly recommend a full dogbone mount. Car doesn't do that funny shift when going from second to first gear

So the stock 0-60 number is right under 6 coming in @ 5.9 seconds. I'd say you still achieved nice gains even though that wasn't your primary goal! With tires and a dragy, who knows, you might come in under 5 seconds! 🙂

Hey Hayden, thanks for the videos... Do you have a LSD? What tires and air pressure are you running up front? Just curious since some of those factors might help you squeak into the high 4's if you could get more traction... Obviously these FWD cars are far better for 30 or 40 rolls, not 0-60.... Too bad the wheel wells weren't bigger... I only went with 245's on mine since I didn't want to roll the fenders and remove the liners to squeeze 265's like the Civic Type-R... (I have a Mk7 GTI with EQT Stage 2 and am preparing to install a larger APR DTR6054 Turbo and E85 Tune... My goal is to get more mid and high rpm power where I'll have more traction to use it...)

0-60 is the worst indication of this cars speed. It’s a roll race type of car. A 60-130 would be a better indication

I'm on stage 1 right now with no other mods. I'm doing an APR intercooler this week and I was considering doing a catted DP as well and then flashing the stage 2. Problem is I can only get 91 octane I where I live and no E. So I have to use Uni's 91 octane stage 2 file which is like 10 HP less than their standard stage 2 file. And I have no desire to do other mods. So I'm wondering if it's even worth doing the DP and stage 2 or just install the intercooler and leave it stage 1.

Buy it! Definitely a fun car to have that isn’t dangerously quick. Being front wheel drive also makes it’s pretty safe compared to RWD cars. It has decent safety tech available in the right trims. Insurance also isn’t brutal for me (19M). I picked up a fully loaded 2021 a couple months back and it still puts a smile on my face and in my opinion it is the best daily driver for a teenager!

MY friends GLI pulled a 4.0 second on STAGE 2 e30. He did 3 seconds with IS38 turbo and sneekytuned. All timed with draggy and on KZbin. You need the right tires. 17s with radicals.

I will say on these cars tuned 0-60 is a bad way too measure performance unless its for drag racing. Youll never get great 0-60s on the street with street tires. And also 0-60 times can even cone down too if your in manual mode with the auto upshift removed. With a tcu tune and autoupshift removed instead of force shifting into third at 56mph you can rev it up too 7200rpms or i like too shift at ab 6900 because i think it puts it right at 62mph/100kmh flat. I remeber that used too be a normal complaint that 2nd with the dsg cant quite hit 60mph and that it makes a difference. Well it does...but only really on a dedicated drag car because the traction is what makes the difference. Id really only do roll racing or magbe 1/4 mile runs for performance measures

Launch control was used. I just simply did not have very good tires on the car. I have since upgraded and am just waiting for my Dragy to show up before I test it again. (Launch control was not used on the run with TC on)
