Rs3’s are def a mid/top end car idk if you’ve seen some of the 1000 plus hp ones on 1320 and stuff but these things can easily destroy gtrs lambos etc if built right.

I feel like the 1300 HP RS3 vs the Hoonicorn kinda shows what the 5 cyl turbo can do, obviously there are other cars that can make similar power, but for development year for a car to come out 2019 and make 1300 hp is pretty crazy, I feel like RS3, Supra, and those 340i or m340i or m240i, the BMWs with b58 engine are probably the best street cars that can give you lots of power

I've got an '18 RS3 Stage 2 Unitronic tuned as well with a ton of mods, KW springs, KW sway bars, etc. I would say that running on 93 is ok, but when I run E85, it's a freaking beast and that tune makes the car run like it should from the factory. Just amazing.

You didn't go past 4k rpms but you feel like it's more laggy? It's not over powered, do some highway pulls. I ran my stage 2 rs3 vs my boys stock g80 m3 and walked him. You can find plenty of ways to use the power. Hit a race track and do some rolls. I went with the catted unitronic inlet pipe also and I love it. no check engine light and I pass emissions no prob. But yea I agree there aren't many cars that will go up against a tuned rs3 on the street and win. Stage 2 doesn't feel laggier then stage 1 though at all, try the uni stage 2 tune. Check out my review of it as well.

Yes it is definitely better if you can source E85 such as in the US. Over here we have virtually no E85 or you are paying over $5 a L from performance shops.

Great advice, i test drove a stock TT RS today and could forsee that chasing the really big numbers would simply ruin the driveability for road use, very tempted to do stage 2 and give it some time before rushig into anything. I've spent tens of thousands chasing big numbers myself on previous cars and can say from experience, big frame turbos and all the extra lag that comes with it simply ruins the car.

Not sure if you've looked into the HFC's by G-Sport with the Gesi HFC's? Drag cars and very high HP cars use them where their HO "High Output" HFC's are rated up to 500WHP per/CAT (1000WHP/Pair) and UHO HFC's are rated at 800WHP per/CAT or (1600WHP/Pair). People are running pop tunes with them and absolutely no damage to those Gesi's... IMO, I couldn't run my 16 S550 and tried that catless setup and it drove me nuts and put some Thunderbolt HFC's to my MAK race pipes 2 days later and will be going with the Gesi's shortly.

Is there really that much difference in power between S1 and S2? I didn’t think the power and torque gains are that much. They’re certainly not as big as going from stock to S1. And is there really 420hp at the wheels? I’m not convinced it’s 420 at the wheels…(unless it’s the 8Y?)

Nah it's just not a ricer. They are fast we have a tuned rs3 that's around 1000HP. I like all audis been collecting them for a long time I'm 42 I have a s6 v10 probably the only rs6 v10 in America a r8 v10 rs5 rs7 and rs3 and 4. Took many yrs to get it all but I really like audi. The reason why you can get major ower out of the inline 5 it's basically half a hurricane block. It has 5 injectors on the bottom and 5 on the top. So because of that alot of boost can be added because you can go big on the injectors and add boost so high its off the scale we have a billet block and billet con rods it puts out so much power its ungoddy scary when the turbo hits it will litterally torque steer. Even with slicks it is not hooking.

I loved my RS3.. It was the fastest street car I ever owned.. I ran it extremely hard with over 250 documented runs down the 1/4 mile.. 30,000 miles with 20,000 of those tuned. Not sure exactly what went wrong but the engine did blow competing at Street Car Takeover last year.. 2023 BMW M3 Comp Xdrive is on order.

The bangs and pops dont make the car slower dude but i can get the cleaner view relating to exhaust tone. How are you able to keep your warranty still active with all those ecu and tcu tunes? I agree the 5-pot motor holds so much of untapped power that when you do some bolt ons and a tune the power is unlocked and there isnt any room to stretch the motor out cause the car is that quick.

You don't keep warranty if you flash any ecu/tcu. There are multiple counters for modifications to tables or values in them. Their toolset will find it and detect it.

Tcu tunes even on stock vehicles is night and day. It’s essential. You don’t know what you’re missing until you do it. Decreased burbles or none at all is the way to go. It’s annoying listening to cars with the auto rifle pops and bangs. Lol.

Ok I am curious....TYPICALLY audi VW underrate their cars on the power side of things. So how does the RS3 with stage 2 only make an additional 20whp over stock? Is the whp that low from factory? I feel like my kia stinger gt2 thats at the same power with a simple tune and putting at around 440whp and 500wtq is not quite as fast.....are you sure the numbers you are quoting are correct?

I have an APR stage 2 RS3 and it puts down 460 on 93 and 520 on E85. They tend to put down about 365ish, stock. It’s hard to look at just numbers though because the AWD and DCT makes it move like it has much more power.

I would definitely say stage 2 is worth it if you are planning to keep the car. So much more power on the top end. I am tuned by ECC Tuned in Canada so they are able to customize these options such as how much burble and etc.

I don’t even want to say this being an Audi owner, both of our vehicles are Audi. But it’s like stage 2 for 420 wheel ( excluding e85 ) if you were to get an m340i for example and you went stage 2, you’d be over 500 wheel🤷🏼‍♂️ it’s like I’m dying to get an rs3 but it’s like you can get more power for the same price if you go bmw.. idk I want an ims850 kit if I go rs3 , but that’s a boat load of cash… definitely more then I have. No B58 engine can make 500 to the wheel on stage 2 pump gas tho. Even on E50 blend you are looking around 470 to the wheel

I’m not sure where you heard that but stage 2 isn’t even close to big power , as it’s about a third of what a lot of the 1300 hp RS threes are running Stage 2 is like baby horsepower for an RS3 and totally safe/ conservative and well within its limits
