Out of curiosity how does the e30 do with axles? I finished off one of my axles just getting my e36 to the right height and now I'm going to have to do spacers just to ensure the survival of the axles in the future. Awesome build and content dude, hope I can run against you someday. UPDATE: I watched to the end. Get yourself some autozone axles and order some spacers from ECS you should be good.

​@@Chattsteezy I've got e36 m3 axles on my e36 325i; the issues isn't the axle itself. The issue is the increased stress on the CV when you lower it or add power. You increase the stability by adding spacers which ensure the CV stays together with added power and or added low. I just went through this with my build on the e36 platform, and there are plenty of other e36 stories about the axles going when you lower or power up the car. In fact, where on the e46 the first think you should do is reinforce the subframe and suspension mounting points, the first thing you should do on an e36 is check the axles, replace the axles, and add spacers. I knew I wouldn't be driving my car seriously this year so I didn't do that stuff and I've just been working on things as they come up and getting other things improved as I go for funzies. If your suggestion is more in line with "upgrade the axles", then you're going to be looking at about $1300 each and adding a spacer, not the standard new price of $890 for a new OE axle or $89 for an autozone axle with a lifetime warranty that you will have to replace.
