I just ordered this truck. And mine is brushed motor. Can I purchased a brushless motor and swap it out and I believe mine also comes with the 2400mAh 8.4V 7-cell NiMH Battery. I can change it also to a 3s correct. But what would I need to purchase to do all this... I'm new to the rc world and want to learn. This is my first RC truck.

Have the blx 4s system sitting around and just recently got a granite. Was wondering what it would do with the 4s system so I looked on KZbin. Was excited to see that you did the same motor/esc upgrade. Definitely gonna do it this weekend. I've not been able to look thru all your videos with the upgrade. Is there anything else you changed overtime that made it easier to handle or enjoy. Id appreciate any info.

I figured the stock tires would blow out from ballooning on 4s. I'm about to put a 2600kv motor in mine, WHAT PINION DO you use?

The two systems should make the same RPM.. 3200kv on 11.1v and 2400kv on 14.8v but the 120 amp ESC will add a bit more so the 4s will be a bit faster

You can run as high as a 26t pinion..Stock is a 13t right?

@@philthyco1 The Granite is 15t. Interesting thing is, some of the Arrma stock motor mounts have holes for a 13t pinion but others have not. Its weird Ive owned 4 of the 3s BLX models, my 2 Typhons had different mounting holes one of them had 13t and the other didnt

@@CallMeAdam2023 Yea ..The outcast 4s is on a 13t but hits about 54 to 56 ..Might be due to the tire size..But I think the spur is geared different than the Granite also

Hey man.... I got a question for you. I am new to RC but am loving it. I just bought my first Arrma granite. Do you have to change the motor to run it on 4S. Will the extra battery power not burn the stock brushless motor up?

Ben. you are right to ask! Don't put 4s in the stock car! This was running a castle mamba x esc and motor, the castle ESC is good for 6s and the castle mamba motor will take 4s for short periods of time before getting warm! I would save yourself some money and keep it stock on 3S. This upgrade I did costs a lot versus the car ($220 for the esc & motor) and to be honest it was too much power for the car! If you want to progress to something faster I would save your money towards getting one of the 6S arrmas. But don't try 4s on the stock esc/motor as it'll burn one or both out! Hope that helps - always feel free to ask any questions.

Try the granite 4x4 mega 49 w/ hd 17 diff gearing coupled with that 3200kv. Curious of the top speed! Awesome vid!👍👍

Try upgrading it to 26t. Hot Racing makes metal axles but their $68 dollars for a set of 2. But by the time you spend all the extra money for gearing and axles on top of the motor and ESC you could have bought a new Kraton or Outcast 4s.

First
