I wonder, if you can shove Mario 64 Mario into other games by tech wizzing magic I don't understand, could it be possible to modify that so you could put Mario 64 Peppino in other games? I mean, all it does to my knowledge is run Mario 64 physics in the background of other games, so, could it work for modded Peppino physics?

There's also a water secret star where peppino can beat that in less than 30 seconds in the JRB door. Adding this to the JRB stars can total to four. Bee lining straight to the ship star, exiting and then reentering will make the ship float, allowing the collection of the other 5 stars, which is 9 stars as little as two star animations. TL;DR BoB - 3 stars. JRB secret - 1 star. JRB - bee line to ship star for 5th. exit course after attaining. JRB - get four of the other 5 stars, totalling to 9. Jet Stream, reds, and eel tail should be enabled. Bee line to Bowser. Lethal Lava for 10-15 Bowser 2 sub is required. 16 Disable peppino moveset once reaching the double star door. Reenable before going into bowser 3 zone. The others are technically slower cause there's a ton of verticality required for WF and PSS, having a hard 15 second L to get 2 stars and another minute to get 3 possible stars in WF.

I've not played Mario Odyssey but I've got some nice guesstimation skills. Since Peppino won't have Cappy, he'd have to rely on his moveset. I'd say he COULD do it if there's no giant gaps.

@@knightrise3503 Mainly because of how diverse his moveset is. He has the speed, has the jump power, has decent moves to defeat enemies and even has a dance thingy. The only bad thing Is that he's slightly clunky, after that he's fine.

You know, I wonder if it's possible for peppino to super jump from a spot in whomp's fortress such that you grab the star in the corner of the wall you normally use the canon for. That would effectively give you canonless and thus an extra star so you can cut the bowser red coins or one of the bully fights and save even MORE time

I found out a second method for getting Mips through the door: Since the door's hitbox is gone for a few moments after Mario/Peppino crosses it, if you quickly dash kick (as Mario) or dash punch (as Peppino) backwards after you cross a door, you'll cross it back without needing to redo the door animation. For Mario this is useless, but since Peppino can grab Mips mid-dash, you can 1. put Mips in front of the door; 2. cross the door normally; 3. cross the door back normally (so now Mips is between Peppino and the door), and finally 4. dash punch backwards so you grab Mips and cross the door at the same time. It's not the easiest trick but it might be a little more consistent than punching Mips through the door

For a 70 star speedrun it would probably be "quantity over quality" where you have to grass up every stage based on how many stars you can get without needing to reload the stage instead of finding just 3 stars you could get fast, making TTC and RR maybe mandatory full clears while BBH probably wont even be touched and even fast 100 coin routes need to be thought of if they are easy to complete during a full clear

Yes, Please, do a 70-star Peppino Run. Off-topic, but I don't want to speed run. I like to play games at my own pace, take my time and enjoy them. And speedruns don't allow you to do that. Also, some games are speedrun-proof; the only real way to speed-run it is to do it right the first time. I have a friend who speed runs and he says it might even ruin a game for you because you get frustrated with failed attempts. I have to admire the skill that goes into the speedrunning scene, but I don't intend to participate.
