That parasite is real and does eat the fishes tounge and acts as it but it also feeds on the fishes blood and can be very harmful to a fish.

this parasite doesn`t hurts fish really much. of course, when they will mate, they could block the throat, but than happens really rare. fish doesn`t uses tongue as much as we, so parasite doesn`t bothers the fish.

The way I see the blue ending where we get turned into food…I don’t think it’s that bad and here’s why… In that ending we serve our purpose (to be food) and we know the meaning of our life (to be served and eaten) We didn’t go through a confusing journey just to be a pile of mush like in the other ending with the burden of all the useless opinions we got along the way because in that ending we are (red ending) pile of mush to just decompose with other fish. In the ending of being served and eaten we now know the truth. Unfortunately the truth doesn’t always make us feel good and can be quite disappointing (and depressing/disturbing) The fish saying that we were lucky to go on a journey to begin with, I beg to disagree. We didn’t have a choice on whether or not to go on the journey we were just born and forced to make choices until our demise. That’s what living to me is. Since the day you were born you are forced to live and make do with everything given to you. Outcomes and choices. Success and truth is in the eye of the beholder because the product is the same…live- make choices- die. So I guess the way you want to look at it the glass is half full or half empty either way you’re not getting a full drink. That’s what the endings are to. None is any better than the other, it just is something much bigger than us. Sorry for the ramble.

There's many games like this even more deep but many ingore them for overhype to whatever is popular now to remakes that dumb down the deep messages. So over simplified for the general public to not use critical thinking skills or simple gacha waifus.

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@keip4568tbf this game is a bit on the nose too. I watched a Let’s Play video about it and I immediately understood what it’s about. This video just confirms it. On the other hand, we have another game like Outer Wilds that’s critically acclaimed and popular among gamers, but it’s very nuanced and there are still people who are debating of what the game is all about. Not saying that either of these games are bad, but to generalize that gamers want simple and “dumbed down” games is just absurd when there are games like CSGO or Minecraft that has little to zero story or message but still enjoyable and rightfully popular. Liking games with deep messages doesn’t make you smart or a better gamer. People just enjoy different things.
