It wasn't because Kurt was tired of playing the same song. The crowd just boo'd the previous girl band off stage. Causing them to cry. This made Kurt upset and he decided to play obscure songs instead. Charles Cross depicts many events in kurts life inaccurately.

It's understandable that fans didn't like female bands back then 100% But I am glad it's accepted now... Women have changed so much in such a small amount of time, it's massive It's not as easy as modern Liberals pretend it is I love Kurt but Kurt should have known better imo I mean Kurt was a bit of a bully really But he was a moron addict so that makes sense Most heroin addicts I know have very low self control

Different and special -Jimmy Page was a master at this. Never playing a song the same way twice. -Hendrix was another spontaneous, random on stage performer. -Kurt Cobain -Jim Morrison -Waylon Jennings To be able to break away from the normal pattern of a song and the rest of the band is able to follow along and break into a new groove or even a different, unrehearsed song altogether right before our eyes (and ears) is very impressive and fun in my opinion.

Those were the days man. I was 18 at the time and was following everything Nirvana was doing. I remember this well. This was a once in a lifetime thing to happen to music. I’m afraid it’s the last time anything like Nirvana will ever happen again.

Live music should always be fairly random, thats one of the exciting things about a good gig. Shame he had his demons as he would still be with us today & no doubt would have jammed with many big names by now. As John peel said yrs ago " i would have like to have just wandered around a supermarket with Kurt & had a nice chat with him" ( or something like that !! ).

Nirvana had personally asked an all female band called Calamity Jane to come open the show. The audience acted very misogynistic and treated Calamity Jane so rudely they literally left in tears. So, Nirvana, being a band that was highly against such poor treatment of women, basically tortured the audience in response. Lots of factors contributed the the fiasco but personally I loved the fact that they played songs they’d never played otherwise although to be fair Kurt was really wasted and the parts that sucked really sucked. Nirvana was a chaotic band and that made them interesting and legendary.

Totally different from the recording you can hear the recording any time but it’s the artist responsibility to give back to their audience something unique and meaningful that’s what makes the band real raw and fun. A live show should always feel like the artist is giving back to the fans who made, and make the band what they are hopefully not selfish but showing their true passion for what they do. If they don’t, then what’s the point. Fuck ‘em is what they say about the fans who made them what they are and that’s a band that has no appreciation for their fans and their music and they doomed to lose what they’ve been trying to do in the first place and lose them selves and it’s a sad thing to watch happen because no band sets out to fail and usually don’t know it’s even happening and it’s a relationship that the band and their fans have it’s not about the spending or making of money but that’s what it turns into and that’s when it’s really over for the fans and the artists.

I find it ironic that you always hear that Cobain was anti-success or anti-commercial yet bottom line he craved success and commercial success. He was a pop star. So I. dont buy this idea that he hated fame. He didnt tour the country in a van when broke looking not to be famous. He didnt spend countless hours writing songs and micro managing music videos because he hated fame. I call BS on all of that. And for him to be mad that he was playing Hollywood Rock (Hollywood a cigarette brand in brazil) is absurd coming from a guy that smoked and drank everythin in front of him. Had Cobain survived his drug years today he would be a happy almost billionaire like pretty much all rock stars that made it this far.

A couple years ago I saw Melvins and Ministry with Corrosion of Conformity, it was awesome. It was also the first concert I attended since before C0VID happened. Such an epic show💕 I’d already bought tickets for it in 2019, but obviously it was postponed due to the Plague. They still honored all tickets though, and it was at the same venue that was originally booked years earlier.

Honestly, all I'm looking for at a show is for the band to perform well without the use of pre-recorded tracks. I heard that drummers now use pre recorded kick drums, or guitarists are doing the same. It's just lazy and a rip off.

Saw them live in August 92 at the Reading (UK) Festival. I was a fan but the performance was disappointing a disjointed. They messed with Teen Spirit which felt like an insult. Festival goers wanted the hit, they hadn’t only come for them and it felt like they should play for the people but he refused to. The crowd booed and the atmosphere was ruined. (24 hours earlier public Enemy put in an amazing show).
