Now I believe KC made the comp much more known with Yoru/Fade but using Omen/Astra as well. But the overall premise is capitalizing on lack of Audio compared to say lack of vision from most comps.

Deadlock is seeing more play and in ranked nobody knows how to play her but in tier 1 deadlock can do some damage

The problem with deadlock for ranked is mostly that she relies on team plays and tram coordination way more than lets say a cypher does. In proplay where your play is realy coordinated it can work out and cause some problems like shown with this comp or also the loud lotus comp

After the buffs, I never thought Deadlock was a bad agent, they just needed to find their spot in the meta. Deadlock not only is actually a really good site holder, but also has a lot of offensive power with the throwable wall to reach areas Sage can’t or quicker, grav net to get info but also take advantage of the time needed to pull out the net, and even using sound sensors on spike and to hold the retake, which is great because most sentinels are using their utility to gather info rather than using them for the enemy’s retake and spike. One of the hardest abilities to find value in when Deadlock came out and even after the buffs was the grav net as no pro teams could figure out how to utilize it to its fullest other than simply stalling or something else, but we’ve discovered so many things about it like comboing utility with it, gaining info, and now taking advantage of that info to get some picks if used in the right place and time, and who knows, maybe we’ll be in for more surprises about it. One of the more interesting things I’ve seen used is in this game is the Deadlock wall lineup to spawn as we’ve never seen a Deadlock wall to fully prevent rotates and funnel everyone into one area. We’ve even found some cool gimmicks with Deadlock in the first pro game she was used in like the Sova Deadlock trap with the grav net and dart and a lot more. I think Deadlock has officially become a viable niche option. Maybe Iso will be next to become a viable niche pick, there’s not a single other character in this game other than Reyna (we all know the deal with her, she is played but solely relies on kills to literally use her abilities. Also, Phoenix does see play and I think Neon will see more play after these massive buffs) who isn’t seen as at least a viable niche pick in pro play and that’s what makes this game great.

ive been saying deadlock is super underrated, she just requires a very different play style and game plan for everything. that last round is a good example of what deadlock can do even without wall; her net grabbed the guy behind the wall so he cant leave the scan and dies, her ult grabs someone whos normally safe and will be a nuisance and he dies, and in the last 1v2 her trip isolates a 1v1 for her and chronicle wins i also think it could’ve been cool if, on later rounds when they throw the wall in their spawn to deny rotates (at this point bbl started countering that specific wall by having more players on B and/or flying over the wall with jett), they could throw a smoke on the wall and instead go A from their spawn and pinch it with a guy going tree from mid

Deadlock has actually become almost meta on Ascent in T2. M80 even started running Yoru to fix the Flash/Info problems.

Valorant is a tactical game, I don't know why there are fixed/meta comps for certain maps. Sure in low elo meta comps should work, but in high elo and in pro games where everyone has a similarly high frag level, surely mixing agents and having different strats with them should win you most games. This should be obvious..

@@Michael-qg2rx the chance of losing is rather higher than the chance of winning imo, since the fixed comp is probably objectively better than any other comp, and a good igl with a good coach will probably be able to easily counter strat other comps, since the fixed comp is picked by every team for a reason

Maybe after a team plays fixed comp on a map twice they change the comp the next time and revert back to fixed after that.
