I measured mine as you suggested in our DM. My mtm is .035, the S is .043.
@StevePierson123Ай бұрын
Thank you for your work! It's helpful to get some numbers on this. Stepping from .035 to .043 leads to a 51% increase in area. That is quite a difference, and definitely helps shape the MJJC performance profile.

Awesome Informative Video Steve!! How many years have these things been out and I’ve learned more in the last week than I have in all the years prior!! Lol

Yes, between Improved Garage and Keav, lots of data out there! I actually tried to calculate the siphon force but I came up numbers between 300psi and 3000000psi 😂

This was interesting Steve. I remember JTC saying one time that the V3 really sucks up the soap. Now we know why.
@BrillianceAutoSpa11 күн бұрын
And the new V3 pro sucks up even more soap from what I've heard. However, the majority of the consumers will look at this as increased performance when you're really just using more soap 🧼 than before. So you're getting more foam at an increased cost to you for having to buy soap more often.

Thanks for this great information. Nice talking to you in private chat about this as well. So all we need to do is drill out the orifice.
@CarsWithKeavАй бұрын
Well you confirmed it for me I had not gotten to the end yet. LOL
@StevePierson123Ай бұрын
@@CarsWithKeav 🤣 The only thing to watch out for is making sure you blow out any shavings. While doing the research for this video, I discovered a small shaving blocking out half of my siphon orifice. My foam was THIN.
@AdamosGarageАй бұрын
What size bit are you going to use Keav?! We all know you’re going to try it! Lol
@RustyHammer6Ай бұрын
Sure just changing dilution ratio in bottle is much easier than drilling out an orifice??
@CarsWithKeavАй бұрын
@ I would agree with that.

I imagine differences in the output side of the cannon will have an effect as well. Also the resistance introduced from the aeration component (wire/foam mesh).
@StevePierson123Ай бұрын
@@eddie3692 it’s hard to say how much pressure drop the screen creates, but it would be fun to test!

@ I’ll be here to support! I’d love to see a video of a before/after with the MTM prior to drilling out the orifice. Might be something I do if I don’t like my Active Cannon that’s on the way

awesome info…..steve pie the science guy 🤘🏽 what is your take on this…i’ve seen where the mjjc uses a mesh filter sandwich that other foam cannons don’t use…shampoo mixture ultimately passes through the mesh filters and gets all foamilated up. apparently mjjc has a patent on the dual mesh set up. which creates the creamy stuff more so than others that only have the one mesh filter … i’m gonna google it up, see if i can find “mesh filter replacement parts” for mtm and others and see if they’re dual like mjjc 😜🐿️💨
@StevePierson1233 күн бұрын
"Foamilated", I love it. I had the dual mesh filter on my MJJC and swapped it out with a thick single one (what the MTM uses). I didn't keep track if there were changes, but I also didn't noticed any major difference in performance.
@FrankoDetails3 күн бұрын
@ 😜 … hmm, that’s interesting. almost enough for me to swap filters around and do some testing, but it sounds like a pain in the a$$ too 🤘🏽🐿️💨
@waelabdelazim8459Ай бұрын
Close these holes … And you will see a drop of the foam viscosity.
@JeepJLАй бұрын
So MJJC will remain king of the cannons. It took MTM so long to come up with a bottle with a large opening, and decided on a pretty lame way of making that happen, the chances of them re-tooling to make the orifice bigger is… well…none.
@RustyHammer6Ай бұрын
Just curious, how did you conclude that the MJJC was better? It has a more foam for the same level of soap dilution simply because its draws more from the bottle. Change the dilution and you have the same quality of foam, and you have to fill the thing up less :)
@JeepJLАй бұрын
@@RustyHammer6 you’re exactly right. You can “turn down” the MJJC to get the same performance as the MTM. But you can’t “turn up” the MTM to match the MJJC. So the MJJC simply offers more options.
@RustyHammer6Ай бұрын
@@JeepJL trust me I’m not trying to get into a YT arguement. But I disagree. More product in the MTM and it performs exactly the same. To ‘speed up’ the MTM you simply add more product/soap. So the only scenario where the MJJC has more options is if 100% soap in the MTM was ‘too slow’. It’s the PIR that matters not the speed of the vacuum
