never go for other points in the beginning than the 2 trades. Its key to have trade routes to buy for 25 and it is key to buy in at export price. this way you can just buy in honey and apple at your liking

I dont go for wheat at all. I get food in beginning from berries and meat than appel and vegetable.

dont go for fields, build big yards with the houses in the beginning. Put carrots in it and you will suffocate in food later.
