This is exactly the topic that needs so much more attention.. there is hardly any material for the studies and findings of the harm that family/parental separation because of foster placement. Young Lady thank you for choosing to speak for the ones that are unable to speak for themselves.

What an inspirational young lady. It is true, these children need extra special treatment to feel safe and secure. Living in foster care is a dreadfully hard thing to have to come to terms with. Not only are you likely to have been rejected by the very people who gave you life, but you are having to deal with living somewhere that you don’t want to be and are unable to relate to. This is profound trauma and I’m not sure how it can be overcome. I don’t think people that haven’t been through something like this will ever be able to empathise. I don’t think humans are capable. Life is especially hard for these young people who are without a family.

I have met many people who are trying to help and make a difference. People with DHS are pretty amazing. I am a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused children in foster care. I appreciated this video. Keep speaking up and speaking out.

Brynleigh- You did an excellent job portraying how abuse affects a child's development and an even better job showing your passion for helping to lift up others in need! Your advocating for others in this platform was brave and your encouragement of your peers and other adults was commendable!! You broke the message down in a way that is easy for us all to understand- be kind to others and do what you can to help. You are exactly right that in child welfare agencies, we should focus on the experience of the children in addition to the foster care parents! Well said and I'm sure you will accomplish great things in your life!!

Unable to understand the mumbling audio. This is a good topic and should have had quality audio.

Some of the things you said are misleading, jocks and cheerleaders get abused as well. Toxic masculinity studies may interest you
