I can’t be around it either... I’ve thrown away clean time because I would be around the wrong person/ people. Not to sound cliche’ but “people, places and things “. Addiction sucks!! I really enjoyed this story time. And getting to know Rachel and both of you and your circumstances better. Wann hear more! Your channel Supports me ,I am also a recovering addict. From Europa, Austria. Through listening and seeing what the people you interwiew have to go through and have to live and how difficult it is Sees to get help from the state in the US where you are, it puts my on situation into perspective for me. I am blessed and thankfull our goverment supports me and sees drug use, Addition, as an illness not a crime and I can geht the help I need. The last 2 years have been hard learning experience for me. I know I can stay clean. I feel Tiere is much more openness and conversation about addiction though in Amerika. Herr we can geht help bit on the other hand the Toni Addition is very swept unter the rug and if you don't live in a big city or are actually at Rehab there Arena vers limited options like self help groups or organisations. So Connecticut through channels like Moral over Money or Jessica Kent for example helps me a lot knowing I am not alle, many people are also struggeling and like Frank you always say there is hope. So thank you both and keep doing what you are doing. You are a very cute, Gold looking couple with a good set foundation and you are good parents, you set a good example how to raise your kids and it is nice to get to see it on this channel. Greeting Ruby! Austria. It would be interesting to hear from others around the world who have been addicted and compare their access to meaningful treatment not just these abstinence only programs in the United States that can cost $30,000 a month if you be do not have insurance. The burden of insurance is on the individual. No social safety net. Brutal existence for many. American propaganda has been shoved down our throats for years. We we taught our nation is the best, the best at everything! As a child it is easy to believe but you grown up and realize you were raised for a world that doesn’t exist. It is depressing so most people refuse to accept the truth. Addicts self medicate to take the pain away. Many have suffered some form of trauma. This country is on the brink of civil war. The system is the problem here but so many are brainwashed and refuse to see it. Every state has drug addicts and every large city has a hellish landscape of trash, tents, and broken human beings. I have traveled to parts of Europe such as Germany, Netherlands, Belgium. The ease of accessing healthcare was amazing! The cost was so cheap! The quality was excellent. I had to see a doctor in Belgium and Germany. I even needed to get ADD medication because I forgot mine at home and that wasn’t hard either. Europe is old and wise in so many ways and America is young and foolish like a silly child at times. I am jealous of the quality of life Austrians have compared to the U.S. Many people who have dual citizenship or a job transfer are leaving United States and relocating in Europe. Yet probably half of the US population thinks their country has the same power it had post WW2. Delusional.

I used to be in a relationship when I met my man. I had just gotten clean and my ex kept getting high and stealing from me and on top of that we lost our kids to the system so the judge told me him or my kids so I made a decision and left him.and ended up with the man I'm with today I couldn't be more happier. Clean and sober 3 goin on 4 years and on my way to getting my kids back. Just praying on the proper housing to come through so they give me my babies back. 🙏

The great thing is that one of the main parts of recovery is helping others still locked within the struggle speaking from New Zealand here when I first got sober from alcohol through doing the salvation army sobriety program and I actually passed which was a big deal at the time and at my court hearing the judge let me go but I fucked up one month later and started drinking again because I should have been helping those around me that's the thing about addiction it takes away empathy and caring for others drug's and alcohol make people selfish

Obviously as KZbin watchers we aren't really your friends as such, I follow you mainly for the good work you give back to a community that isn't even yours, I mean you live miles and miles away, so I'm used to see always the "same" Frank, so it was very ice of you to share a bit of your private life, and also seeing you very relax and at ease in your car with your partner.
