Really nice introduction to the format. If it had sparked more interest, I would have loved to see more content. I often wonder how the less memorable formats from this time like airblade and zombie format feel to play compared to Perfect Circle.

There's a weirdness to midway GX formats that make me feel incredibly uneasy. The non-janky stuff feels like I'm suffocating, trying to pop off but stuck in a terrible grind whilst barely hanging on. At the same time, the pop offs don't feel great and losing advantage feels unrecoverable.

Haven't tried any tier 0 retro format, but I assume if that mirror is fun then it can be fun just like in any format, but one will get less mileage out of it before it gets stale probably.

My biggest problem with this format is how bad things snowball on average. Is it a skilled format? For sure. Is it a fun format? For one player, yeah. Theres better retro formats imo. (Also we cant play x-Saber, so is it even really playing yugioh?).
