Instead of the walk around shoot and die gameplay from games back in the day now games like cod likes to add movement like sliding that favors try hards. They add more hp so tryhards can outplay every fight ever and the guy that comes home to play after work needs to deal with not being able to play because of it.

So many of the big games companies have devolved into development driven by shareholder interest. All the big companies just release shit game after shit game, but there are definitely developers carrying the torch and innovating still! Ghost of Tsushima you mentioned, the Soulsborne games etc. all so good.

Well, just the think of the new Star Wars game they remastered last week with basically no changes from 2005, absolute shambles haha! (Drop a comment on the new video broski, working on 2 longer ones but the last one on gaming got like 100 views hahaha I suppose not all of them pop off) 😅

You're looking in the wrong spot. Games like Bulder's Gate 3, Palworld, BattleBit, and Hell Let loose are great examples of great games from the past few years. You could make the Argument that Call of Duty as a franchise is in a huge decline, (and many would agree), but gaming as a hole isn't worse. There's also dozens of inde releases every month and they're amazing. It's just that people wait for pop culture figures to tell them about a specific good title, when there are plenty of good titles, you just need to try them.
