To be fair, you were right with the Rumble and Punk/Rollins. They probably had some big ideas for lining up Cody v Roman, but when Punk went down, they called an audible and had Cody win as they knew he was due to challenge Roman so that takes care of the Rumble winner's shot. From there they were scrambling. They brought in the Rock to fight Roman and for Cody to switch it up and fight Rollins, fans went ballistic so they switched it back (look at how Cody reacted on the fly at the Rumble - calling out Reigns to the next night wheeling out the Rock) and set the wheels in motion at the Vegas kick off event for the Rock's full heel turn.

I definitely don’t think they switched the rumble winner from punk to Cody as soon as punk got injured during the royal rumble, my guess is cm punk was gonna win the royal rumble however Seth Rollins got injured and they were not sure if Seth Rollins can heal back in time for wrestlemania against punk so they probably just gave the win to Cody just to be safe if Seth couldn’t make it and punk was gonna win the chamber and get to Rollins anyway but cm punk got injured Cody needed someone to have his back as Roman had the rock so they chose Seth Rollins to make his mania moment more interesting and to give him that wrestlemania main event he deserves so much

@MrDonalds_employee Hear me out: While it sounds like to me Cody was going to win all along, it's suspicious to me that a) Cody wins back to back, which is already something only a handful of wrestlers have done *ever* and is somewhat regarded as sacred ground and b) they hyped up The Rock vs Roman before the Rumble and everyone was on board until they ended up shooting that weird as fuck angle that made everyone riot. I think it was a possibility that CM Punk was supposed to win, The Rock was pre booked to face Roman, and Cody was going to be put off until 41. But when that first thing flew out the window, WWE panicked and tried to brute force their original plan despite it not making any sense now. Maybe all of this is me refusing to believe an entire group of people are stupid enough to book something like that Rock/Cody segment.

I am gonna be honest rock promos have kinda been mid his rock concert was good but most of his promos he just repeats himself and drags the promo on before getting to the point. I will say they need to focus less on rock and cody and more roman and cody. I think cody promo aginst rock has been his best work but they should have more with roman and save cody vs rock stuff for backlash, crown jewel or summer slam. They also should have cody beat rock and then losss to someone like randy orton and a trio fued I would love to see that. The fact that cody and randy are so close in real life and randy has been around his kids could make the fued seem real and the story telling could be as good if not better with fued such as sami and gunther
