Or if a gay man's bestie whom is a girl dies and that gay man falls in a state of depression, does not mean he's bisexual nor straight, also in the old day the concept of homosexuality is different from what modern western Society believes, in some ideologies today believe that a homosexual is the submissive gay person not the dominant one, same in the old days in western Society i don't have many proofs nor examples but am sure in the viking era the Scadanavians have a curse word for a submissive gay man, and it was considered manly so dominate a man in a sexual intercourse, again this idea is still alive in many societies.

@𝐒𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 Us talking about Lincoln possibly being gay is us seeking out the truth. He doesn't have to be gay. He could've been straight, but if he had been gay, that means that the US had a gay president long before it would've been socially acceptable. As queer people, it's always going to be exciting to learn that an important historical figure was like us, and we're going to talk about it. When some important historical figure is being talked about, usually they're straight and cisgender, which is the norm, so mentioning that Benjamin Franklin slept around with a bunch of women probably doesn't seem like we're getting too much into his personal life. But to you, talking about how Abraham Lincoln might've slept with men and other women besides Mary Todd is getting too personal. We're not asking for or discussing graphic details, just wondering if he did in fact sleep with other men and women, because if he did, the implication would be that a gay or bi president freed the enslaved people. Of course we wanna acknowledge him as part of the community if he was queer, because he changed the course of American history forever, and brought us out of the dark ages
@tuwuesday2 жыл бұрын
@𝐒𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 I didn't say he freed enslaved people because he might've been gay or bi, just that if he were gay or bi, then the LGBTQ+ community has yet another hero who changed the course of history forever. If he were straight, then we can't claim him as a queer hero, but regardless, he still freed enslaved people. His sexuality obviously wasn't a factor in his decision and to misconstrue what I said shows that you didn't understand what I said

@@Orphen42O In the past, many men who never married were actually in heterosexual relationships with women who were not considered "suitable" as a wife.
