George shows a lot of signs of undiagnosed dyslexia. He's clearly intelligent and highly verbal but does not do well in a structured academic environment. Put him in a situation that requires three-dimensional spatial reasoning, like assembling an engine or finding the leak in a tire, however, and he's almost preternaturally skilled. He didn't do well in school because the words in the books and on the blackboards didn't make sense to him and this led him to be called dumb enough times that even he began to believe it.

Georgie has street smarts and vision. He excels at marketing and product placement and understands how to tap into people's needs. Georgie is practical and sees through B.S. He often doesn't pay enough attention to his personal relationships, but he excels at business relationships. When he chooses to think about his personal relationships, he figures it out, but he often missteps with the people he loves because he assumes he knows what they want. But he realizes when he screws up and fixes it. Missy has social intelligence and insight into personal relationships and is good at managing people dynamics. Missy's weakness is her need to feel special. Sheldon took up so much of her parents' time and energy. Georgie had his own life even though he loved her. Missy wants to be put first. It's why she makes errors with her first husband. With other people, she sees their motivation, and their emotional needs, and she can use that knowledge to her benefit. But in her own life, she's often blind to the flaws of people she adores. She wants to be picked first by someone, and that often leads to her investing in the wrong people. Sheldon is extremely intelligent He can see through complicated math and the universe and see how it works. He can understand complicated physics and math in a 4-D way. He doesn't have Georgie's street smarts or Missy's emotional EQ. People baffle him. He's self-centered. He's a braggart about his physics/math skills, but that is what he values most about himself. It is his identity. MIssy and Georgie are much more well-rounded and emotionally stable people.

Listening to George tell Sheldon he had to take charge after his Dad passed. This forced him to mature early and be a responsible adult. Just as Sheldon has knack for science George has a knack for business and mechanics. It would be nice to watch Sheldon explore the fact that his big brother is just as successful in his own way as Sheldon is in science.

Why would a teen boy take charge? Mary was the parent. A middle-aged woman knows a lot more about life than a teen boy who is a high school drop out. Mary at least had life skills and a real job, not a nepo job.

@@highcountrydelatite Well, I know she has a job. She has bookkeeping skills. She's raised 3 kids. She knows how to cook, clean and run a home. She has a high school diploma. You can't say any of these things about Georgie, other than the job. He's a high school drop out, with a wife and unplanned baby and no home of his own. He works a minimum wage job. Why would a teenager be able to "take over" for his mom? And if you watch the show, he doesn't take over. He's busy putting out his own fires.

Mandy's family had a auto-repair shop that also sold tires as do most auto-repair shops; not a tire store. Also earlier in Young Sheldon, Series 7, episode 9, Georgie is shown to maybe a "tire genius" with finding punctures while working in Hershel's auto-shop. But it all does give Georgie becoming a tire success a very good foundation.

The dynamics displayed in young Sheldon are brilliant. They are not even exaggerated. If a family has a special child (not meant to be a negative comment), the parents as well as the other family members often focus on that person as this person needs more help and attention to make it. This can lead to complicated dynamics and a real feeling of neglect by the other family members. I have seen both, very successful siblings in such dynamics and very unsuccessful ones. Personal ability to adjust may also contribute to the situation. One thing I have noticed, is that Missy is allowed to be very sassy and often highly disrespectful to her parents. To let that go is neglect. It is like the Mom compensated for overemphasizing Sheldon by being too permissive with Missy. What do you all think about that?

Except in her dating life, Missy has a really high EQ. Her weakness is her need to feel special or be picked first. So she marries the wrong people, due to her need to feel special. But in other relationships besides her dating life, she understands popularity, social interaction, and how to navigate those subtle, unspoken undercurrents. This EQ skill is something neither Georgie or Sheldon excels at in the series. Georgie often messes up his personal relationships because he's pig-headed and thinks he knows what people need. His confidence helps him be successful in sales and business. It often gets him in trouble in life. Missy understands emotion and how feelings can be used or manipulated or to get what she needs. If it wasn't for her blindness in her dating life, she'd probably be as or more successful than Georgie.

All his stories about them in TBBT showed everyone in a very bad light, except for his mother and grandmother. So after 12 seasons of TBBT and 7 of YS we don't really know how many times he married or to how many different women.

Most important to success in business is intelligence and conscientiousness. You don't have to be super smart average or slightly above average will do. Georgie loves the tire business and that makes it easy for him to show up every day and do his best for his customers and employees. Another important talent. If you do something and it works keep doing it. If it doesn't work, stop and try something else. You can make all kinds of mistakes if you correct them and don't make any really huge disaster.

As a kid, Georgie finds school and football boring, he thought of all kind of ways to make money through the Texas Snow Ball episode, he suceeded sold all of them. As a young adult, Georgie ability to SELL anything with his charm caught attention of Mandy's dad; whom are always dismayed by his own "useless" son. As the years passed, the MacCallister might have passed down the tire business to Georgie; transforming the local tire shop into a big franchise company. And Georgie also managed a VHS company and gave it to Missy. Making both of the Coopers excellent businessmen. Somewhere in time, Georgie and Mandy seperated for unknown reasons that wasnt mentioned in TBBT. But as a loyal and high-driven tire-businessman, he sticks to his tire business till the end.

I didn't finish Big Bang Theory yet. But doesn't Georgie get back together with Mandy after breaking up? And I think the credit card episode is kind of a hint of their breakup. Watching Young Sheldon, I have confidence that the writers will make a good(but sad) story for the breakup.

Meaning big bang theory does NOT imply or prove they arent together. All jt shoes i georgie came to visit sheldon alone. Like thats remotely Surprising. Mandy is probably busy.
