My dudes if I would have known you could make a career from trail building I would have stuck with it! I helped build some of the craziest trails back in the 90's. I helped build twin palms, mini twin, sixties, Forrest, and horse shoe lake. Most famous was twin palms, and sixties. Twin palms is legendary and almost a myth now days, but all the pros rode twin palms, and sixties. Nobody was paying us to sling a shovel back then, but I wish they were lol

That’s a bit of a sore point for many of us Forrest locals. We had the opportunity to be what Derby is now years ago but local shire/councils weren’t interested in helping fund it.

Mountain biking has definately put Forrest on the map. Pretty much it's tourism is based around the trails.
