I’m not fan of Taylor as a lifelong Wolves fan. But this video is pretty one sided. From all I read Carlye group pulled funding . The Marlins owner blasted A Rod for never having the money when he tried buying the Marlins awhile back. A Rods terms for LPs are just not great thus not getting the backing. Lore/ARod had the chance to pay for the last payment anytime after Dec 28th to March 28th but they didn’t. It’s like a 3 year contract for deed that expired that Taylor didn’t have 600M in his hands on March 28th and was his choice to extend (as he did the all the prior payments) or void the deal. And obviously he waited for Lore/ARod to mess it up to make an extra 1.5B and keep control of the best team he’s had at the end. Snake yes but Lore/ARod should have known that and secured that last payment way way before the deadline. Imagine going to close on the sale of your home to find out the buyers financing fell thru the week before and they still need approval but mean while your house doubled in value. Easy decision.

"From all I read"... Glen Taylor owns the Star Tribune. The associated press that reports to almost all national media outlets source most of their Minnesota stories through the Star Tribune. My understanding is that A Rod and Lore found another group after the Carlyle Group... This group put the money forward a week before the March 28th deadline, but was awaiting League approval. The way the contract is written, you are given 90 additional days for the league to approve the bid if the bid was submitted before March 28th, which it was. ARod and Lore allege that Glen Taylor ripped the contract up

The 90 day extension is what’s in question and if it is truly at Taylor’s discretion to extend it. They assumed Taylor would grant an extension for the forth time as they were late the first 3 payments. My point is what if the new backup funding gets pulled or not approved and the find a new funding source…do they get yet another 90days and on and on. My understanding is that it was at Glenn Taylor’s discretion to extend. But dang….A-Rod/Lore the reason why the wolves are great this year.

ARod did pay the money. He didn't miss payment. The payment was submitted 1 week before the deadline. The extension is for the NBA Board of Governors to review and approve of the payment.
