I like this. Its good that you, at 25, have realised that ones life, being and existence has to be rooted in something More, i.e. God. I wouldn't worry too much that others don't follow suit, they've got their Dharma and you've got yours. The only thing I would say is: In conjunction with a Christian religiosity, perhaps, even if only occasionally, consider exposing yourself to a looser, more free-flowing spirituality too, something like Alan Watts and Terrence McKenna. You don't have to believe it, or even accept it, but its good to keep the spiritual joints loose. Granted they're total heretics by most Christian standards, but its like engine mechanics: If you don't oil the engine enough, it begins to not function as well. It also helps to avoid becoming dogmatic and ideationally totalitarian. Just a thought. Keep praying, God bless, and all the best

I see what you're saying. I have been listening to Alan Watts for over 6 years, Terence Mckenna for 3 or 4 and they are absolutely an inspiration. Buddhism is great in a lot of ways, but feel that, much like other eastern philosophies, it suffers from a lack of framework. Christianity is more fully-embodied in terms of narrative and iconography (in my opinion). I find it helps me treat people better, not simply to escape hell, but because Christ died for them.

You say the things you shouldn't do become more clear. What are those? If not too personal, of course

The reason some people never need God is not unbelief or that they don't reach a point where they need him but the original and most centralized of all sin.....PRIDE!! From the beginning to the end more people will choose Hell because of their pride. Sadly. They won't be the ones in Hell weeping they will be the ones gnashing their teeth!! Screaming and cursing God for all of eternity!! So very sad. Which is ironic since if they just had humbled themselves they would be in joy everlasting.

Funny you should mention 'weeping and gnashing'. I just heard a sermon clip from R.C. Sproul on that scripture.
