Naw man don't cut them. Virgil is just gonna wear them every now and then to a party or something so it's fine. If you're planning to wear this as a lifestyle that hole is gonna let all of nature inside it and make it a less enjoyable sneaker. Easy access for dirt, liquids, etc.

i would. why, you ask? well, for one, i dont care about offwhite or hype in general. i have the sneakers hypebeasts care about, and the ones they dont. but these are of exceptional build quality, and the upper material ensures that theyll look good for many wears. they look a lot like the OG metallics. here's the thing, 5's have been shit this decade. absolute SHIT as far as quality goes. like wearing paper colored tinfoil. theyre BAD BAD. there's been a few exceptions as far as pairs that look good enough on subsequent wears to justify purchasing. those being the 3lab5's, laneys, and some of the other premiums. but these? these can be worn 30 times and still pass as deadstock if you have someone competent that knows how to care for them. youll notice the lack of padding on the upper? that means no upper creasing. the (nylon?) means you dont get microcreases, the ugly shit the 2010's 5's are known for. you get big creases, that dont detract at all from the look. these are literally just the metallic 5's. just about. only these wont look like shit. if the outsole bothers you, then you probably havent been in the game very long. anyone with pairs from the previous decade knows this is just how it is. you learn to love it. this color is a LOT better than the fucking disgusting greenish color that blue ice gets halfway through their life. its a metallic 5. its a metallic 5 only its gonna look great no matter how many times you wear them. these will be copped.

If there’s anything i like about the shoe it would have to be the tongue. I also like the lace lock and how the shoe laces run thru them where it specifically only shows shoe laces. I would change em to white laces because the shoe is super dark. Couldn’t afford em if I wanted them anyway (resale I meant) but aesthetically I like them more than the light pair that Virgil previewed. Probably a 7.5/10 for me on pics but I’m sure in person I’d like em more. Had pair of 5S before and I beat them up they’re good shoes. Living in Florida I would cut the holes but here in nyc it’s brick 6 months out of the year so I would leave them as is if I Bought them

5s are my favorite Jordan ever because it was the first Jordan’s I ever owned. I like these. I give them an 8. I had the original Air Jordan 5 fire reds in 1990 before they were retroed. Foremost, I really like the 5's. I like the OG white with red, and black outsoles and I like the OG black ones. I bought the white,red, and black OG colorway at Footlocker in 1990 when I was in in the 9th grade. The OG 1-7's are my top Jordans. I think the reason is due to my age, formative years and what not. The first pair of them I ever got was the red,white, and black 1's in 85 or 86. From that point I was "hooked" on sneakers. OG black cement 4's are my grails. Peace
