These are a straight 10 for me 🔥. I never went for the panda dunk because of the quality of the shoe. I try to have decent-great quality on all my shoes I own. By missing the dunks and aiming for these made me appreciate this shoe way more. Glad I added this shoe in the collection, I think a few years from now people will regret not getting these. OG color-way that doesn’t drop often. Straight 🔥🔥🔥

As Foamer mentioned AJ1 fatigue is very real for many of us. Years of numerous AJ1 releases per month , which got to ridiculous levels in recent years will do that. Especially with many underwhelming colorways in all those releases. These are a clean OG colorway which helped the hype / interest and as usual with 85s these B&Ws were limited which also went in their favor. But we saw with the True Blues as i suspect we will see numerous other times going forward many people will be passing on many Jordan 1s for a while to come. Unless its an OG or special colorway or collab.

I was all about these 85s in the lead-up to their release. I am OG above all else, these are an OG colorway and i personally like the thicker cut and quality on AJ1 85s. My Georgetown 85s took some time but once they are broken in , i enjoy the 85 cuts' fit and feel quite a bit. Sadly i took Ls on these 85s and with so much other heat coming soon and later in the year , just don't have the appetite to pay resale on them. Outside of rare exceptions pretty much retail or nothing for me right now. Onto the next , even with the AJ1 fatigue Foamer mentioned which i do agree with and have myself ; these and the UNC Toe 1 highs coming later in 2023 some of the few AJ1 highs i actually want / wanted in 2023.

Weartesters had the better review for these, in regards to the '85 homage and the material differences with typical AJ1 releases. I realize the Panda craze of the past few years has taken the black/white cw to oversaturated heights, but a) that is what we would want for other classic cws, constant restocks b) a fresh pair somehow loses points on the board, but a pre-vintage looking pair makes them better? Appreciate the constant coverage nonetheless, just feel there is more nuance to discuss with this type of AJ1.

I copped both the jordan 1 high 85 reverse breds and doubled up on the neutral greys. I wear my neutral grey all the time and I get complimented alot. Haven't got the Georgetown's and these black and whites yet. Waiting for the prices to drop. Too many og Jay's coming out so saving money for those. Great video and review guys!👍👏

Personally, I don’t know about AJ1 fatigue. I think it’s simply that many of us don’t have that much money or space at home to spare, combined with how we’re spoilt for choice. At least that’s in my case. If I had more money and space, I’d cop more of the pairs that sat. Heritage. Stealth. Heirloom. Chennille swoosh. Starfish. I’d buy and keep all of them. I just can’t, because I like other sneakers too, whether Jordan or other brands, and I have to account for those. So, it’s a great time to be a sneakerhead. Formerly in-demand shoes are sitting, while other brands are stepping up.

I absolutely love these, I paid above retail to get early. The simple colorway with the timeless silhouette makes this a very malleable sneaker. Making it great for any outfit. I hate that I have gotten them mistaken for pandas when clearly you have the wings logo completely showing. I’ve only had one person point them out and say “wow those Jordan 1’s are super cool”. That was a 12 year old, it’s embarrassing for people to call themselves “sneaker heads” and don’t know smack. The game definitely ain’t the same.

It's the 2 colorway that's a no for me, at least for retailprice. If they were on sale somewhere for EUR 100, maybe I buy them (but little chance). Before the Pandas, every black-white colorway for Nike was hitting: Kobe 9s, kobe 10s, LeBron 16s, AF1s w/gum bottoms, Nike Vapormax, 95s, etc. Now ppl are hatin b/c OF how much Nike has re-released the Pandas. Even Jordan 1 low concords were aight, but b/c OF the Panda, ppl aren't feeling them.

Definitely not a middle of the road shoe simply by being a ‘85 cut. There was no such thing as shattered backboard leather in ‘85 nor were there any Panda dunks. Not to mention it’s an original colorway. Board blasted and iconic, this shoe is the best offering of the ‘85 cut models. These don’t even have the plastic leather feel the Georgetown 1s possess.

Best Jordan 1 high to release this year. Summit white gives the perfect vintage look. 2023 White Cement 3s use the same color white. Forget that stupid cracked paint on the Chicago Reimagined. They are sought after because of the resale value. Also, they were very limited. Footlocker's, FNL, JD, most of the generic sneaker stores didnt have them. Laney's were plentiful and also had no resale value so they sat. 9 out of 10 for me.

I originally thought that the panda dunk was the middle of the road shoe. That was the shoe that I thought was extremely plain and overplayed. Then I saw this shoe and it made me want to buy this shoe. The reason being that everybody else with the panda dunk would look at this Jordan one black and white and realized they don’t have the Jordan. But either way I wouldn’t give Nike the satisfaction of putting leather on this Jordan one and not putting leather on the panda dunks. Both of them are enticing price gouges. That is my humblest opinion on them. I would rather get the reimagined Jordan three white cement.! 🎉

I like them a lot as someone who likes a lot of black and white these are a cop for me. I had the pandas when they first dropped in 2021 and couldn’t stand the quality. It was worth the wait because I was extremely fortunate to get 2 pairs at retail! These were last minute raffle entries and I just think the dunk fatigue is affecting this shoe. It makes no sense of the womens black and white Jordan 1 twist is highly sought after. Wait a few years and people will regret sleeping.

The toe box shape still doesn't seem like the actual '85 OG. The black leather scuffs and scratches easily and the white is just alright. The Black White Dunk Lows def ruined this colorway jest seeing every gen z kid wearing them everywhere. Could've been great, but Nike even copped out on using the best materials.

Panda dunk sucks, I’ve hit 5 pairs and sold 4 of them and didn’t even bother to pick the other up. The 85s on the other hand are another story entirely. The construction, shape and materials are great compared to the dunks (those are the reasons why I could never rock a pair or like them enough to keep) Also hype and fatigue both come and go, then come again. I’ve had J1 fatigue since hitting on my 15 Chicagos, recently back in the game and these are a must. Natural greys and other well done OGs included. Nothing beats it 10/10
