@@omarmac1 Unfortunately, we _don't_ have the power and never will for two reasons. First, we are selfish and unreasonable in our love of sneakers. Flexing what we think others don't have is built into the culture. No way we'd find the solidarity to pull something like that off. Thus, secondly, Nike plays on that and artificially manipulates the market. They could make every Jordan so widely available and affordable that every person that wanted a pair or two could have them. They could increase the quality and QC and they'd still make billions. True, it would remove hypebeast from the equation and some that paint themselves "true" sneakerheads would suddenly be less interested. But they'd make up for it from true lovers copping multiple pair with greater regularity and people that can't afford them at retail, let alone resell, finding them more attainable, thus desirable. After all, it worked with the Air Force 1. What do they do instead? invest in StockX. smh. I'm so confident of this next point that if I had the disposable income, I'd fund the project myself, Warren Lotas style, and lose the money in a law suit to Nike. If there were 500,000+ of The Trophy Room 1 in June 2019 or earlier, it'd sit. The Best Hand in the Game Collection, The Gatorade Pack, A Star Is Born, Homage to Home, Bloodline, Holiday Pack 2015 UNC, both UNC to Chicago, First Class Flight and both the 2001 & 2011 Banned all had stories tied directly to Jordan's career and all sat and/or had poor resell value until recently. The Shadows, Metallic Pack, Varsity Red High 85, Neutral Grey High 85, all 1994 retros, and just about all AJKOs are OG and sat or had/have poor comparative resell value. A significant size run in the Trophy Room 1s would've rendered a similar result if not for a once in 100 years pandemic that also happened to have an earlier than expected 10 part blow job called 'The Last Dance'. Reselling exploded in 2020. Sure, the few people that appreciated the story would've copped, just like they did for every shoe I mentioned above, but most would've panned and passed on Barbie's glittery "My First Air Jordan 1" saying, "Just give us what we want, JB: THE REAL CHICAGO 1!!!"

There is no way....NO WAY...hell to the nah nah nah nah that these sneakers are worth the resell price. The materials are actually kinda cheap (synthetic leather) and this shoe will not look great after wear. If regular sneaker heads copped 95% of the bulk instead of resellers, this shoe would reselling at about $700-$800 tops, but obviously that’s not the case. I watched and recorded the entire all star weekend including the dunk contest and still have it .I was in ninth grade and watched it wearing my Chicago 85s which I still have. Quality control is better on the fakes than the real in a lot of cases, Nike QC is fucking terrible /atrocious and not acceptable , its getting worse every year (I dont own any fakes by the way) this is why a lot of fakes pass legit check and real pairs fail
