OK but what numbers is it laying down? If it's just a chop cam it's not doing much. I'm a fan of Gen I SBCs and LSs both but when an LS has that sound with a Sloppy grind in it it's making big power.

I'm not debating that LS v SBC point. lol We know who makes the most power for the money. This channel isn't all about big power, racing, etc. Plenty of other channels out there for that. We're all about showing how different configurations of truck (not just engine builds) can be used for a multitude of purposes and oftentimes the same purpose - and in our case, it's finding the balance between power, sound, reliability and ability to drive thousands of miles with little-to-no issue. @@UNITEDBYTRUCKS I get it, trust me. My OCD just flares up when I hear an all chop no bite engine at work. Not implying this one is, mind you. Dad and I have a nice solid 5.3 in the inventory but we're sticking with a '73 454 I picked up recently and the 350 that's in it now is going into a '72 Vega wagon I picked up for him to build. We'll save the 5.3 for something like an S-10 pickup.
