It's fine, the devs don't balance artifact gear so they probably use AI or randomize the stats on them. The job balancing during an expac launch and the first 2 ex fights also don't indicate much as they're just testing the water. Once savage comes out you'll have more options to play at whichever GCD you want

I like the new GNB 100 skill, my only problem I wished using it didn't end your gnashing fang combo. It feels like it should have functioned the same way Double Down and burst strike works so that u can more easily use during the buff window and not towards the end of it.

1 min Bloodfest would fix just about everything with GNB. Could half the potency of the Lionheart combo skills which in turn makes them less egregious when they dont crit. Everything else about the job feels so good now...ok other than losing Rough Divide. I liked that animation

Bloodfest and Double Down not sharing the same cooldown feels really bad when literally anything at all interferes with your perfect melee rotation. Boss goes untargetable? Combat ends? Forced to Lightning Shot once... even TWICE? Your 1 min rotation broke, congrats!

Bro I got a triple crit on Lion heart combo (various amounts on DH) but they varied at 108 and 120K and this was without any time pieces and right side being 90-97 pieces.. that crit difference is too much lmfao. Like crits being so swingy on top of being rng... Makes me want a 1 min Bloodfest even more. Halve the potency and make it 1 minute. Then it's not as hero tower when you crit and is a feels good.

if you guys do play 9gcd no mercy (2.47 or faster), make sure to use burst strike before lionheart combo so u can get the continuation inside nomercy(basically dont use it at the very end).

Been practicing your 2.5 rotation and filler, which I assume is just as it comes off cd and in same order, and it feels really smooth with no drift in the kit at all really like 2.5 now thanks to this

The 12nm loop on 2.5 is really fun this time around, forcing 2 cart burst, then using DD before gnashing fang gives you all 8 of your wanted gcds in a 2 min window plus a hypervelocity that you frontload and you can do it like every 2 minute window no problem

The 9th GCD in even burst windows is a burst strike+continuation (If you went in with 3 cartridges), so that is actually fairly significant. In odd windows its nothing special though.

for my part i pop no mercy after solid barrel, start gnashing fang, bloodfest, yada yada yada.... at the end i can squeeze in a burst strike at the end of no mercy but in the end its experience and personal preferences, how everyone will play gunbrekaer, but the basis stays i dont mind bloodfest beeing a 2 min cooldown, but the combo should have a high crit rate at least

60s blood fest would be the best , they can half the potency and even make it give like 1-2 less catridges. the crit gambling is sometime fun and not. would be devastating to wipe in savage or ultimate at 1 percent because you didn't crit any lion heart combo

Although LH is fun when it crits, I hate the drift problems it introduces to the no mercy window. Would have been better imo if No Mercy gave LH Ready and GF combo then became LH with Blasting Zone Continuation hits while GF remained on your 30 second interval, but that is just my fanfic for the job....

Right now with ex bis you cant hit 2.5 but with savage and other gear coming you will be able to because of a wider gear selection

Lionheart combo was a horrid change tbh. How are you going to make burst strike and lightning shot not break gnashing fang but then add another full combo that breaks your combo

@XenosysVex oh its a bug? That's actually really nice then. My only issue is the fact that your dot is used at the end if it's a 2.46/.47 then because it just feels awkward. Running 2.5 it feels fine since it doesn't matter. If they fix the issue with lionheart breaking Gnashing I'll feel a lot better playing it. My concern is they didn't address it in the changes for classes tbh.

The only difference between a 2.40-2.45 and a 2.5 is ease of use in oGCD weaving and optimization in fitting in that 9th GCD, and with a 2.5, you only need 1 set for all tanks. I’m just scared that when I reach 100 I’ll like it too much and stop playing DRK 🤣

pure DH on tanks is current BiS, crit on the ilvl 700 gear is too low to hit a crit tier that makes it outperform just stacking all the DH and Det possible. This will very likely change come 7.05 with the 710 crafted gear and most certainly will change with savage and tome 730 pieces.

@@callmez_3380 Yes same, I don't see the DH argument either. I'm also using eggplant > veg soup since egg has more det and has crit instead of dh. If the game is about fishing for crits and a big part of my damage is crits then id rather crit slightly more often and for higher damage. I don't see how slightly higher dh's could be better since crits are so much more damage if they happen.

The crit RNG is actually so obnoxious especially on pull where you now suddenly have to manage tank stances where no other tank combination really does. Is it hard to toggle stance? No, absolutely not, but it ONLY needs to be done with GNB present since something like PLD+WAR that PLD is never ripping no matter what.

Now when you dont have to spam gap closers I usually just weave my stance where i wouldve been spamming rough divide in endwalker. Gives mt a great lead. So somewhere around when you do your double down or after any beast. Either way if we get a fight like p11s again where you either need to start with stance on or turn it on during the opener i think gnb will be fine.
