Thanks for talking about the story without spoiling it. I thought Y7 had a phenomenal character driven story that outshined most of the franchise and a lot of video games in general, so glad to hear this at least reaches the same general level of quality.

to me yakuza is a duality class in tone the mini games are to remind you there is more to life then the job/story at hand

I agree with you on the combat. Love it but I would’ve liked to see passives. I think it would’ve been cool if there was more depth with the supers. Every super was a bond attack with the party leader. Would’ve been cool to use 2 characters super meters to have different combo attacks between different characters

***WARNING MINOR SPOILERS*** I honestly thought the story was the weakest part of the game. It was like they tried to do too much and didn't really offer a good resolution to a lot of it. It was mostly very predictable as well. Once you found Akane she quickly because irrelevant, and then the story sort of struggled towards the end from there. Still unclear what the situation with Kiryu is and the Daidoji. I loved everything else though pretty much, really enjoyed it, and will probably go back for another go with new game+ once I get through FF7R coming shortly and Persona 3 remake which I put on hold to play Infinite Wealth. But Yakuza 6 still firmly holds the title as best Yakuza game for me.

I believe you when you say this game made you cry lol can’t wait to experience those moments for myself. The last game or time I cried was from the FF7R intergrade DLC, IYKYK 😂

the only critique I had is the post credit scene. Not the ichiban scene but right before it. It was strange how the main group was basically explaining what happened to the important characters instead of showing it. "I heard Bryce and Ebina went here" "I think Sawashiro is there now" "I can't believe Chitose went back to her family" "Did yall hear Lana is the leader of Palekana now?" Like why not just have cutscenes of this stuff, it adds more closure to their characters and it felt rushed. Also, where's Akane? She was the main plot point for most of the story and they just forget her at the end lol. Other than that, I think game is a masterpiece, and an easy 10/10.

Yeah after finding akane for me the story kinda limped to the end. It was still good but it didn't finish as strong as the mid point of the game would have had me believe. Still an amazing game worth full price even with the scummy dlc for new game plus

I finished yesterday 117 hours i think for my only file. Went deathless final bosses i faught at lv 56 to 60. I totally overleveled lol. Didnt even come close to dying on the last bosses.

same here I spent 120hrs everyone had their ultimate weapon for their base starting class with a plus 50 I was destroying the bosses.

@@marioplushstories7944 Nope, to many games came out for me roughly same time ( This game, Persona 3 reload and grand blue fantasy relink) I just played this to the fullest and went on to the next game on the list. I usually dont go back to replay yakuza games.

@@marioplushstories7944 saw this really late but nah. Plat the game and called it a day. It was long enough and many other games were coming out. I didnt have time to do another run. Plus I think new game plus is behind a paywall so I said no to that.

I liked the story a lot but i don't know what to say about best, it's just very heartwarming and leaves you with a very bittersweet taste, it's naturally gonna resonate with a lot of people especially since it's well done. i love these characters and the combat, the improvements have to stay for the next games and lets hope for more than 2 games with Ichi!

Feel the same, and lets not blame the developers for the publishers SEGAs fuck up about day 1 dlc with post game content. You literally get a "new like a dragon with Kiryu THAT include a take on crazy taxi,pokemon gym battles, pokemon snap and animal crossing, that is all optional." As a guy who did platinum I clocked in around 95+ hours. I wish that the story was a little better and that you didnt swap too much toward the later parts it made the tempo and flow feel a bit lost. Still a 9/10 in my book, and a must have for jrpg or yakuza fans.

Kiryu dragged the game on so hard. I didnt get to see Ichiban interact with Zhao and Soenhee at all, and his mother wasnt even shown in the ending. Other than that this was a amazing game.

If you do all the side content, you might end up overleveled. The toughest battle in the main story was probably the last which was amazing but even then, i didnt lose or feel much difficulty. The hardest boss in the game no doubt is Amon himself in the dungeon. Even when on the same lvl, he was tough. I lost the first time. I feel like they should have scaled bosses, cause i was mostly overleveled in the main story. And no, i aint paying that much money for the bonus dungeon. Yakuza 7 was harder in my opinion. And thats mainly 2 bosses i think off. But this game brings so many improvements on the core design.

I lost on one boss in this game one time. Overall for a semi fast playrhrough it was suoer easy like you said. I had an even easier time in the fist game hut maybe I overleveled more as I did a longer plsythrough and didn't make content. Amon I didn't know was supposed to be the hardest fight I just won so easily which was sad. The dang lack of post game is for sure to sell the dlc which sucks but I'm a sucker and want to play more so I bought it no sweat.

I am a completionist by heart, so I tried to get everything done that wasnt too tedious. It should be said i actually lost first time to the michio-bot in the first dungeon as well cause he was higher lvl. Amon was defiently the hardest in the dungeon with kiryu´s party. But i think as long as you have at least a even lvl party, It should be pretty easy. Still liked the boss fights a bit better overall i think from the first game. Music also plays a part there.@@purplatypus7405
