How good is the All-Gold Kart setup in MK8DX?

Gold Mario and the Gold Kart parts are the hardest unlockables in the game, but are they worth the effort? How good is this set-up, really?

If you don't want to pit in the effort to unlock all the gold stuff Metal Mario Sneeker Metal wheels Wario Wing/Plane Glider/ or Paraglider This has the exact same stats as the gold stuff. Except the is this kit has +2 invincibility compared to the gold stuff. Other than that, the stats are the same.

It's also good to do if you want to get better in general. You'll learn the tracks, learn the speeds as well. Bone dry dunes is something you gotta learn a bit though

I don't like mirror so I probably won't unlocked and I dont even like mario it would be cool if you could get like a gold camo for every character by for example getting 3 stars in every cup in just 150cc and the stats stays the same for the character.

I like Yoshi and I always play Yoshi is the meta now but when it was waluigi it was so annoying and if this were to be implemented I just cold have use the wiggler and Yoshi and have the same stats and everyone would be happy. Now is just a race full of Yoshi and that's also no fun to look at.

handling is perfect tho, too high of handling creates too sharp of turns which can lead to you bumping into something, and too low cannot do last second maneuvers at alll

handling not only dictates how sharply you can turn, but how well you can correct yourself. you don't need to turn as sharply as possible every single time. I'm aware people like shortcat made the claim that your handling can be "too high" but I for sure believe this is wrong. characters like baby daisy and baby peach (same stats) are horrible because their speed and mini turbo are abysmal compared to other baby characters, but even still, the increased handling stat is often used on 200cc world records (baby park and neo bowser city to name a few)

Fun fact: Your acceleration stat is pretty much identical to your miniturbo stat so it also takes longer to charge up your boosts when you drift. You could use it for bagging but even then there's better builds for that.

It's really not that bad. Hilariously the main reason why it isn't the best is mainly for the stat you didn't mention, the mini turbo. Mini turbo is the best stat in general and this combo doesn't have good mini turbo. It's still not that bad considering you still have really good speed for bagging, just funny that you only said it was bad by saying the irrelevant stats are bad.

In my opinion Gold Mario and Gold Glider are pretty good cuz of high on road traction and Gold Mario has a surprisingly high amount of handling for a heavyweight. The kart and wheels on the other hand are kinda 💩
