Step aboard the Celebrity Ascent, where the gastronomic journey unfolds across four distinct main dining rooms. From the revamped allure of Cosmopolitan to the cultural nuances of Tuscan, and the Mediterranean charm of Cyprus, each venue promises an exclusive symphony of flavors.
The ship boasts four exquisite main dining rooms, each characterized by its distinct theme and culinary offerings. While the menus remain consistent across all four establishments, each venue features an exclusive section of appetizers and entrees inspired by its thematic focus. The Tuscan dining room entices with its delectable Italian fare, the Normandie enchants with French delicacies, the Cyprus captivates with Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and the Cosmopolitan enthralls with its new American cuisine infused with global influences.
Cosmopolitan has undergone a subtle redesign, showcasing a more opulent ambiance aboard Celebrity Ascent, inspired by the culture of champagne, featuring ornate decor, a new layout, and revamped seating.
For breakfast at Cosmopolitan, we had waffles, sausage, bacon, and jam. We also had a delicious omelet with feta cheese and spinach.
Lunch at Tuscan featured a Caesar salad, pasta, succulent short ribs, and fresh, flavorful fish, culminating in a decadent chocolate cake for dessert. Though the overall dining experience was enjoyable without being particularly memorable.
At dinner, we tried all the main dining rooms, sampling a variety of dishes. Our culinary journey included French onion soup, lamb chops with mint sauce, beef Wellington, and a tempting baked Alaska. Cyprus treated our palates to a delightful salmon tartare and a mezze board boasting olives, salty fish, tzatziki, dolmas, and hummus. Dinner at Cyprus continued to impress with savory short ribs and indulgent desserts, featuring an apple pie à la mode and a delectable crème brûlée.
Normandie, with its refined atmosphere, presented escargot with garlic and butter, followed by a beef sirloin on croute. The dining experience concluded with a creamy New York cheesecake.
At Tuscan, we savored the eggplant bruschetta, a roasted pumpkin salad with burrata, and pappardelle alla veneziana, and sweet cannoli for dessert.
We noticed that most dishes in the main dining room are very similar to what we experienced last year on Celebrity beyond.
