Wario Stadium, Wario Colosseum, Toad’s Factory and the Wuhu courses weren’t in Tour so they never had a shot.

No words could describe how happy I was when I saw my main, who I thought wouldn't ever come back, appear on screen in all his yellow multi-segmented glory. If only they released one wave earlier. We could have had the best meta ever.

Honestly, this DLC was amazing and easily worth it: and the best part wasn't even the DLC itself It's Nintendo, each wave Nintendo blew us away with the tracks and gave us so much other updates, Coconut Mall cars, Custom Items, Waluigi Wiggler is gone, 8 characters, 18 mii suits, a jukebox, a new credits, and so much more And everytime we thought the wave was gonna be what we thought, they didn't stop with surprises, which I absolutely adore from Nintendo and they proved how much they listened to our feedback and track suggestions easily worth the DLC, 10/10

Great video! It felt like you made a documentary of the last 2 years of our lives. What a great journey it was
This Pass is the perfect example of “Even if you have a prediction, we’ll still surprise you in some way”, from people wanting Mario Kart 9 and Nintendo announcing the Pass itself, after Wave 2 the leaks happened and then when Wave 3 released, they made noticeable changes to track order to still keep the surprise, to people thinking we’ll just get ported tracks from Tour, and Nintendo started adding characters and later Mii costumes, in Wave 5 they released three characters and one of the tracks that wasn’t leaked made it in(Moonview Highway), and then Nintendo surprised us again because we thought we’d just get 2 more characters and we got 4 more in Wave 6, including a track nobody was able to leak(Rosalina’s Ice World) that replaced a Tour track(Piranha Plant Pipeline). This confirms Nintendo is a genius when it comes to business ideas

I agree with most of what was said here. I feel like the Booster Course Pass started out as mediocre in Wave 1 and progressively got better with each wave (with a few exceptions), going from underwhelming to amazing by Wave 6. Here are a few pros and cons for the Booster Course Pass in my opinion: Pro #1: The quantity of tracks is amazing with 96 in total in 8 Deluxe. Pro #2: A lot of the tracks brought back as well as the new ones are great. Yoshi's Island especially is one of my favorites of all time. Pro #3: We got some solid new additions to the roster with a few of my favorites being Birdo, Petey Piranha and of course Funky Kong. Con #1: My main problem with the Booster Course Pass is that it's used as an excuse not to have a brand new mainline Mario Kart game in nearly 10 years. I mean 8 Deluxe is a good game but myself and a lot of other people would rather just have a brand new Mario Kart game instead of additional DLC for 8 Deluxe. Con #2: The quality of the tracks in the BCP is fairly inconsistent. A lot of them are either courses that I believe were not good choices to include in the first place like all the rebooted Tour city tracks, SNES Mario Circuit 3 and 3DS Toad Circuit, or heavily downgraded remakes of great tracks like GBA Sky Garden and Sunset Wilds. Con #3: There are not nearly enough new tracks included to balance out the retro tracks. Overall, I feel 8 Deluxe and especially the Booster Course Pass is overhyped but still good overall. I just don't see it as a solid alternative to having a brand new Mario Kart game. Overall I give the BCP a 7/10 (B-).

8:53 i said that a million times, Nintendo should save those tracks for the Futur Mario Kart game
@Pikehunter11 ай бұрын
I was stating from a general point of view, but I certainly agree! As I've mentioned in different videos, they would not only flourish with full fletched remakes and as you pointed out - it would be better for them! (Wish they waited on Moonview Highway personally)
@xaidensykes72165 ай бұрын
They couldn't add Wario stadium, Wario colosseum, or Toad's Factory, because they're not in Mario Kart Tour.

Fair Point - Would rather have full scale remakes than light BCP ones

Before Wave 4, I give it a 6 out of 10. I give it a 9 out of 10 after Wave 4 because they started to add characters. What keeps it from being a perfect 10 is Peachette, but I'm just glad I can play as Diddy Kong.

You forgot to mentioned a new end credits for the Booster Course Pass. What an amazing journey with the Booster Course Pass. Wave 1 - Wasn't that great, most notably with the visuals. But outside of the visual department, the track selection isn't that great. The City Tracks in this Wave are weak, even as a Tour play myself I have to admit. Coconut Mall is a huge let down(even if they fixed the moving cars, I'm not a huge fan off this version of CM). The only saving grace is Ninja Hideaway. Wave 2 - The track selection is much better (I really don't care about Waluigi Pinball, the track is mid, yeah I said it.) than Wave 1. I'm glad that one of my favorite N64 Track makes the cut. The city tracks are alright. I love Sydeny Sprint. I never expected GBA Snow Land. But the only let down is Sky-High Sundae, which I was so excited for this track, then finding out that the track is literally an oval. Wave 3 - This is actually ended up one of my two favorite Waves in the DLC, alongside Wave 5. Track selection is amazing with Maple Treeway, Berlin Byways, 3DS Rainbow Road, Peach Gardens, Boo Lake, and Merry Mountain. Wave 4 - I have mixed reactions on this one. For the city tracks, I say they're weak with Amsterdam Drift, and Bangkok Rush. The saving grace with the city tracks is Singapore Speedway. GBA Riverside Park is a welcome addition, I have GBA bias. Waluigi Stadium is visually stunning. DS Mario Circuit, I was disappointed when this was included instead of either Airship Fortress or DS Luigi's Mansion(mostly that track), but after few months have passed, I got over it, and liked the track. And Yoshi's Island is amazing with it's theming, musics, and sound effects. Oh and Birdo too. Wave 5 - I like this Wave 5 more than Wave 3. The City Tracks are awesome, mostly with LA Laps, and Vancouver Velocity. GCN Daisy Cruiser and Squeaky Clean Sprint are pretty good. Wii Moonview Highway is a track that I never expected, but I love that track. Wii Koopa Cape, is alright. As for Sunset Wilds... what's the point of that tracks inclusion if it doesn't have the sunset gimmick. The character selections are really enjoyable. I mostly played Wiggler. Wave 6 - The hyped, and emotional(to me) finale for the DLC, and Mario Kart 8 as a whole after a 9 year journey. I love Rome Avanti, SNES Bowser Castle 3, Madrid Drive, Wii Rainbow Road. And the characetr selection is even better, except Peachette. I mostly played as Funky Kong. And seeing the new credits as very emotional. And when I say the "Thank You" photo, I actually cried given the fact that we've reached the end of the life of Mario Kart 8, and looking back the past years with this game, having the good times up to this point.

I’m still really confused about them cutting piranha plant pipeline. It’s just so weird that the booster course pass preserves every tour track except that one. I have a feeling it’ll be in Mario Kart 9 but I still think it’s weird
@zaccohen253911 ай бұрын
The Mario Kart Wii bias was real. There was at least one Wii track in every wave.
@Pikehunter11 ай бұрын
Would have LOVED to see more GCN and N64 love instead of 3 tour tracks and almost 2 Wii tracks every time
@zaccohen253911 ай бұрын
@Pikehunter agreed. I would have also loved more DS representation. The BCP was really unbalanced in its track selection. No GCN tracks till wave 4 and only 2 DS tracks and none after wave 3.
@fullmetalgamer606211 ай бұрын
Tour bias too. Every cup started with a city track.
@zaccohen253911 ай бұрын
@fullmetalgamer6062 Unfortunately it was a glorified Tour port. Every single track in the BCP came from Tour.
