this is one reason why in yugioh its popular to reserve jank as a term for strictly bad decks and call tier 3 or 4 or 5 strategies "rogue" decks. jank's about doing your silly stupid thing and not caring about the result while a rogue deck is still probably kinda trying to play a serious game sorta ish

it's the amelia ban actually the correct thing? i mean, she is the payoff of the combo, not the enabler, that's the walker who does not have a replacement to start. amalia when played "fair" is a strong yet not imposible to counterplay explore engine and payoff for life gain decks. i'm glad the infinite unescapable combo that enabled a toxic gameplan of aiming for draws instead of victories is gone, trully gone, but i think that amalia wans't the true culprit there, now once caverns of ixalan rotates any pioneer player won't be able to play that legend when they try to trsnsition from a standard life gain deck into pioneer

I don’t think Amalia was the correct card to ban, I’d rather see wildgrowth Walker go, but the deck is gone. I think that’s all anyone cared about.
