Odell Beckham Jr. defined the word superstar in the NFL. His highlight-reel plays and magnetic personality skyrocketed him to becoming one of the most famous players in NFL history. In his prime, he wasn’t just on track to be one of the greatest wide receivers ever, he changed the way the position was played.

Haters will always say he was made off one catch, but bro was a top 3 receiver for 5 years, and a top 10 for about 7 years. You can take away “the catch” and he still has a crazier highlight tape than any WR from 2014-2019. And no matter how bad people want to hate, Odell has a great shot at the hall of fame when taking into account his career stats, historical presence, and Super Bowl ring. You are denying facts if you think he doesn’t have a shot at the hall of fame. If he finishes his career strong and adds on some numbers and a playoff run or 2, he’ll be a lock.

To many, football is a stupid sport because it is too violent and injuries are guaranteed. Sometimes career ending injuries. What's the average career for running backs? I think it's like 3 years.
@RM-56
@RM-56 3 ай бұрын
@@Orcinus1967 yeah, but I mean those players know to an extent what they signed up for. As long as players wanna play it’s just how it is. Now maybe if the NFL had a steady decline in players we might just shift to flag football, but that’s a bold opinion.
@Orcinus1967
@Orcinus1967 3 ай бұрын
@@RM-56 For sure there is a lot of money to be made. "As per the league's Collective Bargaining Agreement established in March 2020, NFL players' minimum salary measured up to $660,000 in the 2021 season" Thats hard to pass up. I see no decline in willing participants either. Especially if your home is in an income tax free state. The only thing I can see further weakening the state of the NFL to flag football is concussions and Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) a brain condition thought to be linked to repeated head injuries and blows to the head.

Idk if the injuries derailed his career or the trade derailed it but OBJ had the potential to be the best WR in the league during that era. Never really heard of him before that catch but after seeing many highlights of him, he really was talented beyond words & that goes without saying. I wish he made a comeback cause of how talented he is but he kept declining over the years. Still hope he makes a comeback somehow

He was really good with the Giants and if he continued on the early trajectory he was on he coulda been a HOF. It’s sad to see the toll injuries took on him. At this point in his career he is a fringe WR2 at best and would be a really good WR3, which is why Miami is probably the best spot he could’ve landed in.
