So glad that you're not 'just' interviewing owners who have massive over-the-top websites. Nice to see the journey at different stages. I'm sure Grades will be back in the site with multiple sites, and a huge income, but great to see this landmark.

You're a great interviewer Jared. Great to hear an Aussie success story Grades. A delight to watch.

It was an awesome interview as always! Grady's story is very inspirational to say the least. I know Grady referenced AI a few times during the podcast but the subject wasn't deep dived. I'm seeing non-writers cranking out unbelievable amounts of content using AI. I think what made written content profitable in the past was barriers to entry like the ability to write well. How are blogs going to be profitable in the near future? These AI bots will just consume your content and display it without the user going to your site. I've been using Chat GPT for months, and I have also been using Bing Chat, and I rarely need to go onto the blog for additional detail. In fact, I don't think I've ever had to go to the original content when using Bing chat. I'm really curious what people's thoughts are on this? How are you guys going to future proof your site?

You are an excellent interviewer! Would you consider interviewing Scott Delong? He's great and more on the "make great content" side than on the SEO side. So it'd be really interesting to extract sone intel.

I always enjoy these videos it’s always great to hear these people’s journey..However; it feels a little un-relatable tho-because many of these stories are people who come from a professional or university background..is it possible to interview successful people who worked as a dishwasher, maid, lawn service , food service, field worker, retail, bus driver for 20++ years then transitioned into niche sights and is now doing well -that would be more relatable…Great channel..

yet another "I started a blog after the pandemic started" story. Most of this advice is outdated... I have yet to hear a recent success story post pandemic...has anyone else heard one?

Did you hear what you said, you lamented at yet another post pandemic story, then you asked if anyone has heard of any post pandemic stories ??
@BenjisDad Жыл бұрын
hey pete, the pandemic hasn't been that long ago, haha.. Plus it takes about 2 years for a blog to really take off... but with that said, im in the process of selling a site for $20k+ that i acquired in Jan 2022

@@BenjisDad I always wonder why sell a site if it is profitable? Seems like it would be better off in the long run to hold onto it?
@BenjisDad Жыл бұрын
@@CoconutPete people buy and sell business all the time. The money is in the exit. If you sell a blog, you can get up to 50 months worth of revenue in one shot. Imagine if instagram never sold to Facebook, they would have missed out on $1 billion. I build sites with the full intention of selling them

@@CoconutPete 30 to 50 times your $30-50,000 a month can solidify your gains and buy a big house for people who recently started making good money; but is a great option for people who are also ready to avoid market volatility for a while.
