The orchestra and choir are absolutely fabulous! I've always loved this particular arrangement. Our choir has sung it many times. However, I speak solely for myself... I can't STAND the drums in this. They are completely distracting and unwarranted. The cymbal rolls are a perfect addition, but the drums just ruined the piece for me. Sorry.

For me, the arrangement is more like a musical-ish hymn, so that the kit is totally ok in it. But it's the tempo changes that make it work not quite well. The groove gets lost and so the kit looses it's purpose. There is no need for a peace of music played in rubato having a drum-kit in it. I think that's the problem there. Despite that being said, I think it sounds wonderful. Great job!
