According to my understanding and research from other people the process starts with the double entries cause that is automatic then the photo and other staff as you have mentioned Then the 55,000 Visas are mainly for the main applicants excluding deliverties and the number of selectees are over 120-140k and the reason of the number is sometimes the main applicants may fail to make it at the embassy and even fail the interviews and fail to get the visa that's why the number of visas for the main applicants which is 55k is doubled to between 100-140k like last year the number of selectees were about 140k

If you watched the video we gave a reason for selecting more numbers and the holes created to accommodate family members moving together. Just because u have a number doesn’t mean there are that many people in front and depending on your regional. Go to visa Bulletin and see how the numbers work per region. thanks

Your understanding is incorrect. The 55,000 visas issued includes the derivatives (which are included in the 140,000 number also). So - if a family of four people are issued on day 1, there would be 54996 visas left.

He will be disqualified, he can't add him unless he was born after the application. He will be denied the visa, they will say he lied in the DS 260 form! Let him edit and remove him, unless he has legally adopted him! Otherwise he will be denied the visa.

Good day good people , you were talking about country category, that the chances of winning are less if there are less people applying , I'm in a country where very few people know about DV Lottery . like for dv 2024 I saw only 5 selectees from my country . what are the chances of winning if I'm from this country (Swaziland in Africa though )

So the thing is the more the people in your country play the higher the chances of getting the 7% cap per country, Country with many people playing also expect higher number of winners in that regional selection unlike the country with low players. Since the selection is done by Regional and not country. Hope this clears your question. Being in a low playing country doesn’t make it easier to win the only disadvantage is that low outcome will be expected depending on the input number of players.
