Enyonam, thanks a lot for presenting this impressive interview session. Your guest was so intelligent during your time with him. The impression one gets from your interaction is that we have no excuse complaining about hunger in Ghana.

@@theghanaianfarmer Enyonam, thanks for all your videos. I love you, my Sister. Please, if possible leave the contacts of the hosts in your videos so that one can contact them if necessary. Please, please tell your host(s) to immediately seize from using glyphosate and other Roundup chemicals. These are very very dangerous chemicals that are actually banned in places like Europe. This ignorance will kill us in Africa. There are many and better ways of weed management: Mulching, mechanical weed management using tractors with weeding tools. Also we Africans should start relying on our own research efforts to produce our own improved seeds. This belief and dependence on foreign seeds is not wise. Personally I prefer all our sweet potato varieties than those American hybrids that are plain watery. Keep up the good work, my dear!

This man makes me regret not pursuing Agriculture in senior high school. I really loved Agric in jhs but my dad thought I was too good for that 😢 I went and did business rather which I excelled but I loved agriculture, and always envied Agric students 😅. I’m currently doing 180 acres of cashew and other crops but I have to hire an agronomist because I feel like I know nothing and that really annoys me 😂

It’s a pity if the farmer chooses to use glyphosphate. Hope this can be avoided . How about using companion plants like the type of weeds that nourish the soil.
@inharmonywithearth9982 Жыл бұрын
Agreed, they could plant flat on the fresh ground then when the weeds begin hill the sweet potatoes to kill the weeds and concentrate the row.

I don't think I agree with doing some activities manually just to create jobs. If you do it mechanically you scale up and create more jobs by covering more land.
@jeffilunga3448 Жыл бұрын
The one you deprive from the job opportunity in order to feed their families might come back some days later to steal from you. But if they contributed in the planting they will develop a sense of ownership towards your business and they will be more protective. Spirit of Ubuntu
@AkubaCAB Жыл бұрын
@@jeffilunga3448 I understand your sentiment but like i said mechanisation can help scale up and provide more jobs. Do you employ 1 person so that they feel ownership by planting for you, or do you become bigger and employ 3 people? which is better?

@@AkubaCAB I understand your point of view from a theoretical pov however, when people need the jobs they need it now not later. Similarly in your place of work, your job could be potentially replaced by a robot (not that i know what your job is but you get my point), but there is time and place for doing that to scale.
