What needs to be remembered is the biggest reason for Ochoa not signing with a top European club is him not having a European passport. He didn’t receive his European passport until after he left Belgium and went back to Mexico. Now that he has it, plenty of clubs will be wanting to sign him during the summer transfer window

Ochoa was a future talent. He was destined to be as big as casillas and Buffon. I was excited when I was young hoping for Ochoa to play for a big club. It never happened. We all have to admit that his best years are gone and it was unfair for Ochoa to never had played for a big club. A crime almost. McGuire bein a flop yet in a big club and Ochoa having high hopes to one day play for a big club :(

Seems very likely that Ochoa will be the starting goalkeeper in the 2026 World Cup for the following reasons: 1) He's the only Mexican goalie playing in Europe right now 2) Even at his age he's still taking his abilities to new levels, becoming Salernitana's best player of the season while only playing half a season is insane 3) Mexico doesn't have any young goalkeeper who could take Ochoa's starting position. The closest is Carlos Acevedo, who's really good, but nowhere near Ochoa
